We are a U.S.-based real estate group launching a new property management initiative aimed at consolidating and managing four separate property portfolios currently overseen by external firms.

As we transition operations in-house, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Finance Manager to support our accounting team, help establish robust corporate accounting systems, and contribute to financial strategy for sustainable growth.

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, intuitive, and collaborative Senior Finance Manager to join our team remotely. This individual will work closely with a distributed accounting team and support the financial integration of multiple real estate portfolios (currently managed through AppFolio and Yardi).

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and organizational skills, property management accounting expertise, and the initiative to streamline operations and implement internal billing systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Support, mentor, and collaborate with the accounting team to foster alignment across both remote and in-house staff
• Assist in aligning team goals with broader company objectives
• Help define team structure and responsibilities to drive efficiency and accountability

Financial Transition & Portfolio Integration

• Assist in transitioning the management of multiple property portfolios from external firms to in-house operations
• Standardize accounting processes across portfolios using AppFolio and Yardi
• Support the implementation of consistent financial reporting tools across all assets

Corporate Accounting Setup

• Help establish internal corporate accounting systems to enable intercompany billing and chargebacks
• Assist in budget creation and management for each real estate portfolio
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards

Operational and Strategic Support

• Partner with company leadership to align financial strategies with operational needs
• Provide insight to optimize cash flow and cost-efficiency
• Actively contribute to ongoing process improvements and internal financial operations

Qualifications

Experience in property management and U.S. real estate accounting is a must. Candidates without this experience WILL NOT be considered.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in financial roles, with experience in property management or real estate accounting
• Proven expertise with property management software, including AppFolio OR Yardi (this is a plus)
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and support diverse, remote teams
• Proactive problem-solver with strong initiative
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Solid understanding of corporate accounting, budgeting, chargeback systems, and GAAP principles
• Advanced level of English (C1 or C2)
• Must be able to work remotely with reliable internet and communication tools
• Flexibility to align with Pacific Standard Time (PST) working hours
