Responsibilities
- Platform Modernization: Architect a scalable, cloud-native, API-first infrastructure to support global customers, enhancing platform reliability and extensibility.
- AI Enablement: Develop the technical foundation for AI capabilities such as predictive analytics, forecasting, anomaly detection, and intelligent insights.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor an engineering team based in Mexico City, covering backend development, data engineering, QA, and DevOps functions.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Data teams to deliver impactful, customer-facing features.
- Enterprise Readiness: Ensure high system performance, uptime, security, data privacy, and compliance with standards like SOC2 and GDPR as the platform scales.
- Leadership Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Australian CTO to align global platform strategies, share best technical practices, and coordinate cross-region delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2+ years of hands-on leadership of technical teams.
- Strong expertise in SaaS platforms, especially with modern cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep knowledge of data architecture including data pipelines, data warehouses, and scalable analytics infrastructure.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in enterprise analytics, forecasting, or intelligent decision support.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy systems to distributed, cloud-based platforms.
- Background or exposure to retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or analytics-focused SaaS is desirable.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.
- Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to Mexico City.

- Experience working directly with enterprise clients to tailor scalable SaaS solutions to complex business needs.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and GDPR in software delivery.
- Background in building or transforming AI-powered decision engines within SaaS environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills reflecting a strong leadership mindset.
