Merapar is a European Software consultancy company that specializes in cloud (AWS and GCP) and video platforms and IoT that is now also in Chile serve the Americas market. We work in small agile teams and help global video power houses such as BBC, NBC Universal, Liberty Global, Discovery to get software innovations to the market

In our team everybody works everywhere in the stack. Typical projects are written typescript and we use a lot of serverless technology. For we use CDK, backend is typically composed of API Gateway, lambdas, dynamoDB etc and for frontend we use React. And we love ideas on how we can improve

Job functions

You will work in an agile team where you are going to: Design, implement, test and document software.

As a senior member of the team we also expect you to coach younger people in the team.

Qualifications and requirements

Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics or provable experience
At least 5 years of experience with implementing distributed systems in either Typescript or Python
Experience with Scrum
Experience with Docker and cloud (AWS or GCP)
Fluency in English
Live in Santiago. We typically meet once a week to work together and have lunch together
And of course all the standard soft skills that everybody always asks for ;-)

Desirable skills

AWS or GCP certified
Scrum.org certification
Experience with video(platforms)
