Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer Contractor to collaborate with our close-knit and agile Engineering Team. This individual will work with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to develop innovative, user-friendly, and high-performance web applications.

You are:

  • Collaborative and have experience working with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Comfortable contributing to architecture and design to solve problems at a high scale.
  • Detail-oriented and write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Experienced with ACME protocol (HTTP vs DNS challenges).
  • Knowledgeable in networking (TCP/HTTP, DNS, load balancers).
  • Independent and work well under occasional pressure in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Execute defined governance on software architecture decisions regarding platform/infrastructure stability, upkeep, maintenance, remediation, and support.
  • Build platform services to integrate existing web applications with each other.
  • Develop prototypes to demonstrate the merits of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure quality through unit and functional testing implementation and execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including internal documents.
  • Review fellow team members' work through architecture reviews.
  • Support the 7x24x365 platform monitoring, remediation & support.
  • Support onboarding and SaaS tool support upon request (best effort) for the IT function within the business.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of professional development experience.
  • Plan, analyze, implement & manage the following aspects of the platform and its associated IT infrastructure.

○ Disaster Recovery Business Continuity (DRBC)

○ Elimination of Single Points of Failure (SPOFs)

○ Implementation of Security procedures, monitors, and awareness organizationally

○ Automation of monitoring, software deployments via scripting

○ Instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and any associated automation and documentation

Better if you:

  • Extensive experience in Scripting for the purposes of monitoring, deployments, and other associated IT-related tasks.
  • Full CICD methodologies and their associated skills: GIT, GitHub Actions, DevOps, CICD.
