Job functions

We’re in a shipping sprint: fixing bugs, delivering enhancements, and shipping features from a passionate backlog of user requests. This is a role for someone who is hungry and thrives in a startup sprint—someone willing to push hard, including late nights when needed, to make an outsized impact.

Work with frontend UIs generated via V0.dev and transform them into production-ready React/Next.js features
Wire frontend pages and components to backend APIs (REST and GraphQL)
Build, modify, and maintain frontend components (dashboards, workflows, forms)
Connect and manage state between frontend and backend (API routes, Prisma, context/state management)
Debug and resolve frontend and backend integration issues
Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Other Developers
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Help maintain a clean, responsive, and accessible UI

Our Stack

Frontend: React, Next.js, TailwindCSS (or similar)
Backend: Node.js, Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL
Infra: AWS, Docker, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications and requirements

First and foremost we are a startup. That means rapid iterations, things changing, working hard as a team. That also means that as a fullstack developer at Waystone, you won’t just write code — you’ll own entire workspaces. You will be building systems that are cutting edge, and meaningful.

You'll be:

Translating business needs into clear, technical solutions
Taking full responsibility for your features from design implementation to deployment
Writing clean, tested, and secure code across frontend and backend
Contributing to the team by flagging risks, suggesting improvements, and communicating often and clearly

We are looking for developers with:

Experience working with AI assistant tools to enhance the delivery of clean, quick, and consistent code
4+ years of experience with React and Next.js (or similar frameworks)
Strong frontend and backend skills — layouts, responsive design, smooth UI interactions
Solid experience connecting frontends to APIs (REST or GraphQL)
Familiarity working with Node.js backends and Prisma ORM
English proficiency (C or higher) — we need clear communication on a small team
Strong sense of ownership: you’re proactive, manage your tasks, and work independently
Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment preferred

Desirable skills

Design or UI Design Experience
Deep back end experience
Experience with TailwindCSS or similar CSS libraries
Familiarity with AI-generated UIs (like V0.dev)
Understanding of accessibility best practices (ARIA, keyboard navigation)
Experience writing unit or integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library)
