Key Responsibilities

  • Join the client's ecommerce QA team as an API SDET focused on customer authentication applications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for API layers using Node.js/Typescript/JavaScript.
  • Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks for new and existing functionality; align with Agile processes.
  • Implement API testing across GraphQL and REST endpoints (Mocha/Chai); identify and record defects related to API surfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage, reliability, and performance of authentication services.
  • Coordinate testing activities within the Agile team and contribute to process improvements in the testing environment.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation / SDET roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript for API automation.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL and/or REST API testing.
  • Proficient in Mocha and Chai for test frameworks.
  • Well-versed in functional, regression, and integration testing methodologies.
  • Experience automating tests for mobile environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely within an Agile team, communicating effectively with stakeholders and developers.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Playwright for end-to-end automation and mobile testing capabilities; strong debugging and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git); excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong written and verbal communication, collaborative mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
