We are hiring a senior WooCommerce developer to manage, optimize, and scale a high-volume WooCommerce site. You will be dedicated full-time to a single, established site with growing traffic and infrastructure complexity.

This is a long-term, full-time remote role. Candidates must be based in Latin America, fluent in English, and available to work during Pacific Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and scale a live WooCommerce site running on Cloudways
• Set up a safe and repeatable staging-to-production workflow that preserves data during updates
• Implement New Relic for application and infrastructure monitoring from scratch
• Monitor and resolve performance issues using uptime monitoring and server tools
• Improve caching, database performance, and front-end load times
• Follow best practices for deployments, rollback, version control, and ongoing maintenance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with WordPress and WooCommerce development
• Proven success managing high-traffic WooCommerce environments
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and server-side performance tuning
• Experience with Cloudways or similar hosting providers
• Comfortable setting up and configuring New Relic or similar observability stacks
• Familiar with Git-based workflows and staging environments
• English fluency (written and spoken)
• Full-time availability during Pacific Time business hours

Compensation

• $3,000 to $3,500 USD per month, depending on experience
• Long-term contract role

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Data

Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of SEO concepts and digital marketing principles.

• Preference for candidates with Chinese language proficiency.

• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
