Senior Java Developer

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java Spring.
- Design and implement complex algorithms and data structures, especially related to recommendation logic.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize the recommendation engine's accuracy and performance.
- Continuously refactor and improve code quality and system performance.
- Follow best practices for software engineering, including testing, documentation, and version control.
- Engage in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospective sessions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with Java and Spring Framework in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of complex data structures and algorithms, with proven ability to design scalable solutions.
- Experience or strong interest in building recommendation engines or similar data-driven systems.
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Ability to analyze and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and engineering mindset.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred but Not Required Skills
- Experience working with machine learning algorithms or integrating with data science teams.
- Knowledge of additional frameworks or tools for data processing and analytics.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Background in cloud-based deployments and microservices architectures.
