You will be joining a critically important initiative focused on modernizing and optimizing the core database layer that underpins our entire global platform.
This isn't just a maintenance role—it's a strategic transformation. The project’s main goal is to implement our Point of Arrival (POA) database technologies, specifically moving toward modern, scalable solutions like Postgres and leveraging Spark for data processing.

Key Responsibilities
- Wide breath of engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading teams of engineers.
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of database domain and industry standards (e.g., Partitioning, lock management, SQL optimization, capacity planning, Data Migrations, etc...).
Required Skills & Experience
Java: 4+ years.
Spark: 3+ years.
RDBMs: 5+ years
gRPC
Microservices
Desirable:
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams, including setting technical direction and driving execution across multiple initiatives.
FinTech, Banking domain knowledge
Expertise in designing and developing distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Database migration experience
Cloud experience
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience engaging cross-functional teams including product, design, and infosec.
