As a Cloud Sales Engineer, you will be embedded at the intersection of technology, customer engagement, and sales strategy, contributing to multi-cloud initiatives, infrastructure as code, and secure, observable cloud environments. You will help shape project scope, architectural direction, and long-term customer success through ongoing collaboration with product, engineering, and sales teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement: Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and design cloud architectures aligned with customer requirements. Lead technical discovery sessions to understand needs, identify challenges, and propose optimal solutions. Translate customer needs into tailored technical architectures and implementation approaches.
  • Solution Design & Validation: Design solution architectures, diagrams, proposals, and TCO/ROI analyses to articulate technical and business value. Deliver product demonstrations, POCs, and performance benchmarks to validate proposed solutions. Architect solutions leveraging OpenStack, with strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Technology & Best Practices: Recommend and apply best practices in IaC (Terraform, Ansible), containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), automation, security, monitoring, and observability. Integrate security, monitoring, and observability into all designs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement: Collaborate across functions to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation. Conduct workshops and enablement sessions to support customer adoption and long-term success. Share customer insights to influence product roadmaps, sales strategies, and technical marketing.

What you will do

As a Cloud Sales Engineer, you will serve as the principal technical advisor, shaping secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions for strategic customers. You will own the technical discovery process, help craft compelling architectures, and validate designs through demonstrations, POCs, and performance benchmarks. You will articulate the business value of cloud strategies, including multi-cloud and OpenStack-based approaches, and drive consensus with stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences. Your work will bridge the gap between technology and business outcomes, ensuring successful delivery from pre-sales through implementation, while continuously capturing customer insights to guide product and market strategies.

Desirable

Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments at scale; hands-on with Helm and advanced Kubernetes workloads; familiarity with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions); knowledge of security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA); experience with cloud cost optimization, TCO/ROI modeling, and pricing strategies; relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP/OpenStack); exposure to AI agents, MCP servers, and AI-driven use cases within cloud infrastructure.
