Our data engineering team operates under a demand-based model, delivering end-to-end data workflows that ingestion data from multiple sources, transform and unify it on AWS-based platforms, and make high-quality data accessible to business applications and reporting tools. This project emphasizes autonomous, high-quality data pipelines, cross-functional collaboration with product and business teams, and alignment with internal data strategy to enable operational efficiency and timely insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ingest, process, and transform data from multiple source systems into existing AWS-based data platforms (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue).
  • Design and maintain data integration flows for movement between source and target systems, following established standards and frameworks.
  • Ensure data delivered to Power Apps applications and Power BI reports meets quality, consistency, and timeliness requirements.
  • Collaborate with product and business teams to identify data needs, evaluate source systems, and assess constraints (update frequency, known issues).
  • Build data engineering solutions aligned with internal data strategy while maintaining autonomy and meeting timelines.
  • Work with dbt for data modeling and transformations; utilize Airflow for workflow orchestration; leverage Snowflake in production environments.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join a data engineering team that supports a new internal initiative focused on data delivery and pipeline development. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end data workflows from source ingestion to consumption by Power Apps and Power BI, operating with minimal supervision. You will contribute to the reliability and scalability of AWS-based data platforms, ensure data quality for business applications, and partner with product and business teams to translate data needs into robust data pipelines. This role requires strong hands-on experience with AWS services, advanced SQL, Python for data processing, and experience with modern data tooling (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience with other cloud data platforms (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery) and data visualization patterns.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps customization and Power BI advanced features.
