We’re Hiring: HR Director | Remote | Heavy-Metal, Hyper-Scale People-Ops Commander

We’re growing VERY fast.

Last year we hit $2 million.

We just closed $1 million in Q1.


Our goal is $10 million this year— and we’re on track.


To get there without detonating, we need a frontline HR Director who can marshal our team of HR generalists, tame 200 monthly onboarding/off-boarding moves, and turn spreadsheet chaos into bullet-proof systems.


This is not a cushy director seat


This is a war-time, Slayer-on-repeat role for someone who types 60 WPM+, thinks in dashboards, and caffeinates on urgency.

You’ll step in above two freshly hired HR Generalists, relieve our Interim HR Director (Jane) of the trench warfare, and own end-to-end people operations for 150+ remote contractors (mostly international)—scaling toward 400 by year-end.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Architect the high-volume engine: design playbooks so 200 hires/exits a month feel boring.
  • Lead & coach the generalist squad; delegate ruthlessly, audit relentlessly.
  • Own BambooHR, Slack, and Google Sheets—drive zero-defect data hygiene and live KPI dashboards (time-to-fill, retention, ramp speed).
  • Write & enforce SOPs in real time; document as you scale.
  • Automate everything: Zapier, ChatGPT, macros—whatever kills manual clicks.
  • Report straight to the COO; partner tight with Finance & Legal on comp, contracts, and risk.
  • Work EST core hours (9 am – 6 pm ET) at a 40–50 hr/week clip; spikes welcomed.


You Might Be the One If

  • 5+ years leading HR or People Ops in a startup/BPO/high-volume environment.
  • Keyboard smoke-show: ≥ 60 WPM (yes, we test).
  • Tool-stack monster: HRIS, ATS, Google Workspace, spreadsheet formulas, basic SQL.
  • Comfortable in heavy-metal-level pressure—you keep calm, others draft off you.
  • Data-first decision maker; metrics slide off your tongue.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or global HR certification a plus but not required; results outrank initials.
  • Business-level English; extra languages earn bonus points.

  • Talent Sourcing & Outreach: Post job listings and proactively source qualified candidates for U.S. and international roles using various platforms.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or HR administration
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with Teamtailor or similar ATS platforms is preferred
  • Able to work remotely with consistent U.S. time zone overlap
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable communicating with candidates and internal teams

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

You’ll start your day reviewing open roles and updating candidate pipelines in Teamtailor. Next, you’ll post new jobs, source talent, and conduct initial screenings. Mid-day, you’ll coordinate interviews, support hiring managers, and help finalize offers. By the end of the day, you’ll assist with onboarding communications and update recruitment metrics to keep everything running smoothly.
