We’re hiring an QA Automation Engineer through Insight Global to join a client's QA team responsible for quality testing of a product that sits between a Point of Sale (POS) system and a back-end ecommerce platform. In this role, we’ll help ensure the API and UI experiences work reliably across integrations, releases, and feature updates. You’ll support and enhance the existing automation environment, validate functionality for API-related testing, and collaborate with an Agile team to coordinate testing efforts.

Responsibilities:
We’re looking for an QA Automation Engineer to sit remotely and be part of the client’s QA team, focused on testing efforts for a product that sits between their POS system and back-end ecommerce platform.
- Support and enhance the automation environment and utilize the current framework to ensure optimal functionality for all API-related testing.
- Enhance the automation framework for new and existing functionality.
- Coordinate testing activities as part of the Agile team.
- Identify and record defects related to the API/ UIaspects for the web applications.
- Optimize the testing environment as needed for process improvement.
Requirements
We need an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on automation and API/UI testing background.
- 5+ years of experience in QA test automation.
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience for automation.
- Well-versed in UI and API testing.
- Experience with GraphQL and REST API testing efforts.
- Playwright experience.
- Jira and Git/GitLab experience as it relates to CI/CD.
Plus:
- Python skills.
- Mobile testing experience.
We’re also looking for a teammate who can work effectively within an Agile environment, maintain quality standards, and communicate clearly about defects, test coverage, and automation framework improvements.
