Core Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at Palantir, youâll own every phase of the product lifecycleâfrom generating ideas and designing prototypes to executing features and shipping releasesâwhile being paired with a dedicated mentor who champions your growth. Youâll work hand-in-hand with both technical and non-technical colleagues to uncover real customer problems and deliver solutions that address them. To gain firsthand insight, you might sit side-saddle at a military exercise or partner directly with vendors using Palantirâs Apollo & Rubix to put our software into the hands of warfighters and government workers.

Technologies We Use
It doesnât matter what languages you know when you join us; what matters is that you can write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly. Our software is constantly evolving, so we need engineers who can do the same. Alongside peers that bring diverse experience - whether youâre a former university Teaching Assistant, switched to computer science recently, or are a hackathon enthusiast â you'll build your skills to apply the best technology to solve a given problem. Right now, we use:
⢠A variety of languages, including Java and Go for backend and Typescript for frontend
⢠Open-source technologies like Kubernetes, Cilium, Envoy, Grafana, React, and Redux
⢠Industry-standard tooling, including Gradle and GitHub, and agentic tools like Windsurf & Cline
\n- Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of individuals, including engineers, users and non-technical team members.
- Willingness to learn and make decisions independently, and the ability to ask questions effectively.
- Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
- Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Physics.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
- Experience coding in programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $145,000 - $155,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individualâs relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.

As a Social Media Exec within the Brand Hackers team, youâll be working with a team across 2-4 brands at any one time. Here are a few of the main things youâll find yourself doing day to day:
- Content planning - creating strategically clear, insight-led content plans that will deliver on brandsâ objectives across channels
- Content creation - both static designed assets and social-first video for a range of platforms, predominantly Instagram and TikTok

The City of Pullman Civil Service Commission is currently recruiting for an independent contractor for the Secretary and Chief Examiner. The salary range position is $400.00-$600.00 monthly.
The Civil Service Commission Secretary and Chief Examiner performs all responsible supervisory and professional functions necessary for the administration and direction of the City Civil Service Commission in accordance with the Civil Service Rules and Regulations and provisions of state law relating to civil service. Acts independently. This position reports to and takes direction from the Civil Service Commission.
Minimum Qualifications
- AA or BA in business, psychology, social sciences, paralegal, human resources, or a related field, or three years of relevant experience.
- The secretary and chief examiner shall be a properly qualified citizen of the city.
- Evaluates and/or supervises the evaluation of applicants meeting the minimum qualifications; determines which examinations will be conducted, the subjects to be covered in each examination, and the relative weights to be given to each portion of the examination, subject to approval of the Commission.
- Supervises the conduct of all examination(s), appointing such experts, special examiners, or proctors as needed.
- In coordination with the appropriate Police or Fire Chief, decides all questions relating to the eligibility of applicants, the admissibility of applicants to the examinations, extension of time, and all questions arising during an examination.
- Recommends certification of successful candidates to the appropriate eligibility list, subject to approval of the Commission.
- Performs all other functions necessary for the proper carrying out of these rules and provisions of law relating to the Civil Service System, and such additional duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Commission.
- Attends all Commission meetings and records the votes taken, causes the minutes to be prepared and presented, refers proposed minimum qualifications and other examination related matters to the Commission for consideration and approval.
- Uses technology systems to communicate with others and to perform and manage work.
- Works an unpredictable schedule that may include up to eight hours or more in a single day.

The Browser AI team are building core browser features, and exploring new ideas about how the personal nature of the browser can help create the best AI experience for research and creative tasks. - Implementing browser-integrated Web UI (e.g. AI conversations, browser settings, new tab page) using Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS with React as well as other frameworks such as Web Components, Svelte and Lit
- Working with our product development team to collaborate on designs and specs and bring them to life on Brave's desktop and mobile browsers
- Integrating with custom browser APIs using Chromium's communications frameworks.
- Helping to customize the native UI provided by Chromium to add new product features and modify existing features. These UI elements include toolbars, modals, buttons, and more
- Delivering code which is well tested with high confidence
- Working alongside and learn from our experienced Chromium engineers - helping with peer reviews and helping improve our engineering processes
