Full time
Sales Development Representative
  • Verlo
  • Greater St. John's Metropolitan Area,
education customer support non tech marketing

We're building the AI Agent OS for Advisors. Financial advisors use Verlo to replace the patchwork of tools they hate. Our agents join their meetings, write their notes, update their CRM, and answer any question about any client instantly. Interest is growing faster than we can follow up on, and we need someone at the top of the funnel turning that interest into booked meetings.

As a Sales Development Representative at Verlo, you'll be the first conversation most advisors have with us. You'll run outbound, qualify inbound, and book demos for our Account Executives. You'll work closely with the AE team and report directly to the founder.

What you'll do

You'll prospect every day: building lists, researching advisors and firms, and writing outbound that earns replies. You'll run the first call to qualify fit and book qualified demos for the AE team. You'll own inbound leads from our waitlist and referrals, respond fast, and make sure no good lead goes cold. You'll keep your pipeline clean, test new messaging and sequences, and feed back what's landing so we keep sharpening the pitch. The goal is simple: a steady flow of qualified meetings the AEs can close.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3+ years in an SDR, BDR, or outbound role at a B2B SaaS company. You've hit meeting or pipeline targets consistently
  • Comfortable with outbound. You can write cold email that gets a reply and pick up the phone without overthinking it
  • Discipline working remotely. You manage your own list, sequences, and follow-ups without anyone checking in on you
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You'll be drafting outreach, qualifying on calls, and recording Looms daily
  • Curiosity about the product and the market. You'll learn the workflows that matter to financial advisors and speak about them credibly
  • Resilient and coachable. You treat a no as information and iterate fast

Nice to have

  • Experience prospecting into financial advisors, RIAs, or wealth management firms
  • Familiarity with the wealthtech ecosystem (custodians, planning software, CRMs like Redtail or Wealthbox)
  • Experience with outbound tooling for sequencing, list-building, and enrichment
  • Background at an early-stage startup where you helped build the motion, not just follow it
  • You've used AI tools in your own workflow and get why this market is about to change

Benefits

  • Health and dental benefits
  • Unlimited vacation
  • Equity in the company

Full time
Backend Developer
  • albo
  • Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México, México
dev design technical testing

albo

albo is a leading fintech company offering financial products to individuals and SMBs with the mission to bring financial freedom to everyone everywhere.

About The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer you'll design, build, and operate the microservices that power albo's core financial products — from card issuing and authorization to credit lines, payments, and money movement. You'll own services end-to-end across our polyglot, event-driven platform, making pragmatic architectural decisions that keep money-critical flows correct, idempotent, and observable at scale. You'll work close to the domain (SPEI, ledgers, credit, authorization) and close to production, partnering with Product, Infra, and other engineering squads to ship reliable financial infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing At Albo

  • Design, build, and maintain backend microservices in Go and Java/Quarkus within our domain-oriented architecture (customer, account, transactional, and shared domains).
  • Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment to QA/SBX/PROD, monitoring, and on-call ownership of what you ship.
  • Build event-driven and REST integrations across services (Pub/Sub, service-to-service REST via our private-proxy mesh), with strong guarantees around idempotency, reconciliation, and failure handling (dead-letter/reprocess, no silent data loss).
  • Model and evolve data across MongoDB and SingleStore/MemSQL, keeping dual-write flows consistent between the display source of truth and what card authorization actually validates.
  • Ship through our CI/CD (Jenkins shared pipelines, containerized deploys to GKE/Kubernetes on GCP), managing configuration and secrets via GCP Secret Manager.
  • Write clean, self-documenting, well-tested code; participate in code reviews and raise the engineering bar for correctness and simplicity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Infra/Platform, and other backend squads to break down epics into shippable, incremental deliveries.
  • Instrument observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and use it to debug production issues and continuously improve reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to technical design docs, architecture diagrams, and shared conventions/scaffolding that scale the team.

About You And What Type Of Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • +5 years of experience building and operating backend services in production, ideally in the Banking or Fintech industry.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of Go or Java (Quarkus/Spring or similar), and willingness to work across both in a polyglot environment.
  • Solid experience with microservices and distributed systems: REST APIs, asynchronous/event-driven messaging (Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar), service boundaries, and versioned contracts.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfort with both SQL and NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, SingleStore/MySQL/Postgres) and an eye for data consistency in money-critical flows.
  • Deep understanding of reliability patterns — idempotency, retries, reconciliation, graceful degradation — and why they matter when handling real money.
  • Familiarity with fintech/payments concepts (card authorization, ledgers, transfers, credit) is a strong plus.
  • Customer Centricity: You're customer-obsessed, constantly thinking about improving the customer experience.
  • Hands-on: We're looking for a comfortable and willing leader to be a hands-on contributor who is energized by rolling up their sleeves, making things happen, and enabling the team to do the same.
  • Done is better than perfect: As things change and move quickly, you are excited by the fast pace and opportunity to constantly learn and help your team learn.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to communicate internally and externally, quickly build relationships, and work cross-functionally.
  • Extreme ownership: You hold yourself accountable to a high bar. You are supremely organized and see what needs to happen to achieve goals.
  • Results & Data Driven: You understand the business metrics you are responsible for, and you demonstrate these insights to drive constant improvement.

Our API-first platform automates provider licensing, enrollment, credentialing, and network monitoring by connecting directly to hundreds of primary data sources. We help healthcare organizations maintain accurate, compliant, and reliable provider networks at scale.

Our vision is simple: One API. One provider ID. Frictionless provider data.

We’re backed by leading investors and built by a team with deep experience in provider data systems. About the Role:

As an Intern Machine Learning Engineer on a 6-month contract, you will help build, test, and deploy ML-powered services on our provider data platform. This is not a pure research role; the focus is on strong software engineering, testing, and robust evaluation rather than novel model architectures.

What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain ML-driven services and data workflows in Python.

Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, testing (unit and integration), code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.

Build and maintain evaluation pipelines and metrics to measure model and system performance in production-like environments.

Deploy and operate ML services on GCP, including tools such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.

Troubleshoot and improve existing ML services with a focus on reliability, latency, and correctness.

Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders across product, operations, engineering, and data teams to clarify requirements and iterate on solutions.

Communicate clearly about trade-offs, risks, timelines, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Need:

Experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer.

Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production services.

Hands-on experience deploying and running workloads on Google Cloud Platform.

Expertise in writing and debugging SQL queries.

Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control (Git), CI/CD, and monitoring.

Experience evaluating ML systems by defining metrics, building evaluation datasets, running experiments, and interpreting results.

Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects with limited supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Comfort proactively reaching out to internal stakeholders to understand requirements.

Bonus Points If You:

Have experience writing code in Java.

Have built or maintained data pipelines or ETL jobs on GCP.

Have experience working with healthcare data, compliance requirements, or PII.

Have used experiment tracking and evaluation tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or custom dashboards.
