Are you passionate about youth mental health and seeking purposeful work? Do you want to share your coaching skills with youth and make a meaningful impact? So do we!
About Us:
Clayful, an early-stage EdTech startup, is a mission-driven team of educators, coaches, and education tech experts dedicated to tackling the youth mental wellness crisis. Our goal: provide every middle and high school student in the U.S. with free, life-changing coaching.
A High-level Overview of the Role:
- Clayful is seeking mental health coaches to support young people via chat-based and audio/video sessions.
- This is a 1099 contract position
- Coaches support during and after school hours (7am-10pm PST) based on coaching demand, with hours ranging from 1-3+ hours a week depending on student needs.
- Applicants located in California, Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone will be prioritized, as well as Spanish-speaking
- $20/hour with bonus opportunity
The Role
You'll provide on-demand and scheduled coaching to students in grades 4â12 through Clayful's coaching platform with audio/video and chat-based coaching. Coaching happens during and after school hours: 7am-10 PST, Monday through Friday. Support is needed for high-activity times (~7am-2pm and 4-7pm PST)
This is a 1099 contract position. Hours vary with student demand â typically 1â3+ hours per week, with natural ebbs during breaks and summers. It's well-suited for coaches who want flexible, mission-aligned work alongside other commitments.
What You'll Do (And What We'll Train You To Do)
- Provide responsive, empathetic coaching to young people navigating stress, relationships, identity, and academic pressure
- Support students from diverse and historically marginalized communities with cultural awareness
- Follow established protocols during crisis conversations, with real-time backup from licensed Coach Supervisors
- Engage in ongoing training and adapt to new tools & processes as Clayful evolves
Clayful coaches consistently tell us this work is unlike anything else they've done. Here's what they point to:
- Training from day one. You'll complete Clayful's onboarding before you ever coach a student â covering coaching frameworks, crisis protocols, and our platform.
- Real supervision. Licensed Coach Supervisors are available in real time during sessions. You're never navigating a hard moment alone.
- Flexibility that's actually flexible. Work during school and after-school hours that fit around your life. Hours shift with student demand, so you're never locked into a rigid schedule.
- A community of coaches who get it. You'll be part of a team that shares your values â and your unique love of working with young people.
- Room to grow. Ongoing training, evolving tools, and a startup that's building something new. If you want to shape what youth coaching looks like, this is the place.
- Mission you can feel. Every student you coach is one who wouldn't have access otherwise.

79% of Clayful coaches say they'd recommend this role to a fellow coach.
What You'll Need
- California Wellness Coach Certification (or eligibility via one of two pathways â you do not need to live in CA):
- Education Pathway: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, or Psychology from a CA institution + 400 hours of field experience (care coordination, wellness promotion, screening and/or education)
- Workforce Pathway: 1,350+ hours working with youth (up to age 25) in pre-clinical behavioral health within the last 6 years
- Minimum 1 year of coaching experience with proof of certification
- Associate's degree or higher
- 4 years experience in mental health, youth work, or coaching
- Reliable laptop or desktop computer and internet (50+ Mbps download)
- A private, distraction-free workspace
- Must reside & be in the U.S. for the duration of your contract with Clayful.
- Applicants in California, Pacific Time, or Mountain Time will be prioritized
- Spanish-speaking applicants will be prioritized
You're naturally empathetic, mission-driven and genuinely like young people. You're comfortable with ambiguity â startup pace, variable hours, evolving tools. You don't need a lot of hand-holding, but you value feedback to grow, supervision and community.

Ajaia is a fast-growing AI consultancy and product studio that helps organizations move from experimentation to real results. We work across AI Strategy, AI Engineering and Automation, Workforce Enablement, and Custom Product Development, and we build our own AI products alongside client work.
Our mission is to help organizations win the AI moment.
About The Role
You will own content execution across social, short and long-form video, podcast workflows, and training video.
You own the calendar, the output, and the numbers. You write platform-native content for LinkedIn, X, and email. You edit video people actually finish watching. You build the AI-assisted workflows that make all of it faster without making it generic.
This role is AI-forward by design. You will use AI daily for ideation, scripting, editing, repurposing, and QA. We expect you to already work this way.
What You Will Do
- Own social content operations from planning to publishing to performance reporting
- Write platform-native content for LinkedIn, X, and email newsletters
- Edit short and long-form video for marketing and thought leadership
- Run podcast post-production, clips, and distribution
- Produce and edit training video for internal and client-facing use
- Build reusable AI-assisted workflows for scripting, editing, and repurposing
- Hold the line on brand voice and quality across every output
- 3 to 5 years in social content, video editing, or multi-channel content management
- Demonstrated ownership of publishing workflows and deadlines
- Strong writing for LinkedIn, X, and email newsletter formats
- Experience editing training or educational video
- Evidence of AI-native execution in daily content work
- Strong written communication and async habits on a remote team
Schedule. Fully remote, with required overlap 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
Technical. Wired internet 100 Mbps minimum. Intel Core i7, Ryzen 7, or Apple Silicon with 16GB RAM and 256GB free storage. Windows 11 or current macOS. 1080p webcam and mic. Backup power and internet.
Process. Application and portfolio review, two-hour practical assessment, hiring manager interview, final conversation with leadership.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus performance incentives
- Performance bonus up to 100 percent of base
- Fully remote with earned flexibility
- Professional development budget
- Paid time off
You will own a broad content function spanning social, video, podcast, and training, not one narrow slice of it. You will build thought leadership at a company doing AI implementation work that reaches production, and design scalable content systems rather than grinding out one-off assets.
Let's build what's next.

Job Description
As the Director of Sales Development, you'll set the targets, the operating model, and the standard for the entire XDR org, then build the leadership layer that runs it. The work isn't managing a room full of reps. It's building the people who build the pipeline: hiring, developing, and holding accountable the managers and team leads beneath you, so the function gets stronger whether or not you're in the room.
The stakes are straightforward. Leadership builds revenue plans on the number you deliver. That means owning capacity and ramp so pipeline scales in step with company goals, defending a forecast quarter after quarter with no asterisks, and getting Marketing, Sales, and RevOps aligned on what a qualified opportunity actually means. You own the stack and the spend too: pick the tooling and budget that make the team faster, and prove the return.
This is a seat for someone who wants to own outcomes, not activity reports. If you've built and scaled a sales development function before, know the difference between a team that's busy and one that's productive, and want your work to show up directly in how INNERGY plans its future, we should talk.d.
What you'll do
- Own the function. Set the strategy, targets, and operating model for the entire sales development org.
- Build the leaders. Hire, develop, and hold accountable the managers and team leads beneath you.
- Plan the capacity. Own the headcount and ramp model so pipeline scales in step with company goals.
- Defend the forecast. Deliver a pipeline number leadership can build revenue plans around, quarter after quarter.
- Align the org. Partner with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps on segmentation, routing, and the definition of a qualified opportunity.
- Own the stack and the spend. Choose the tooling and budget that make the team more efficient, and prove the return.
- 6+ years in sales development, including two+ years managing managers or running a multi-team function.
- Experience standing up and/or scaling sales development (SDR, BDR, or XDR) across multiple regions teams that consistently hit pipeline targets.
- Fluency in funnel economics: pipeline created, conversion rates, and team attainment against targets.
- You build a management bench, not just a rep bench; people you developed now lead teams of their own.
- Comfort operating alongside executives and owning a number in the room where revenue gets planned.
- You have scaled a sales-development function through a major growth inflection.
- Background in ERP, vertical SaaS, or selling into manufacturing and construction.
Accessibility & Work Environment
INNERGY is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible work environment. We support reasonable workplace adjustments for individuals with disability in accordance with applicable Australian laws. If you require adjustments during the recruitment process or in your role, please let us know.

Know what matters before it becomes a problem.
Curcle Clarity turns the records your business already creates into evidence-backed answers, morning briefings and contextual findings â so engineers arrive prepared, office teams know what to chase and leaders see what needs attention.
Book a Clarity demo See how Ask Curcle works
Real product, real seeded data â every answer shows what it is based on.
Not another dashboard. Not another chatbot.
Most software tells you what happened. Curcle Clarity helps you understand what matters.
Traditional software
- âStores records
- âDisplays reports
- âLeaves people to connect the dots
- âOften hides where an answer came from
- Connects records across the operation
- Answers real operational questions
- Shows the evidence behind every answer
- States when the evidence is insufficient
- Keeps decisions with people
Ask Curcle
Ask a real operational question.
Open Ask Curcle anywhere in the platform (Cmd/Ctrl + J), type a plain-language question and it is matched to Curcleâs approved question library. The answer is calculated from live records, scoped to what you are allowed to see and linked back to its evidence. Question in, evidenced answer out â no open-ended chat thread, no conversational memory.
Engineer
- âHas anyone worked at this site before?â
- âWhat parts were used last time?â
- âWhat does my week look like?â
- âIs my van stock running low?â
- âWhich quotes need chasing?â
- âWhich jobs are waiting on something?â
- âWhich customers have gone quiet?â
- âWhich certificates are approaching lapse?â
- âWhich jobs are unassigned?â
- âWhere are double bookings forming?â
- âWhich jobs are approaching SLA?â
- âDoes the team have capacity this week?â
- âWhich contracts have gone unusually quiet?â
- âHow has aged debt moved?â
- âIs the team under pressure?â
- âWhat is going well?â
Start the day prepared, not overwhelmed.
Curcle Daily gives each role a short morning briefing drawn from the same evidence-backed Clarity engine.

Clarity findings
Useful answers, exactly where the decision is made.
Discreet, evidence-backed findings appear on the customer, job and quote pages you already work in â and hide completely when there is nothing useful to say. No empty placeholders. No manufactured urgency.

Overdue retests and outstanding invoices surfaced above the compliance score â with the evidence a click away.

Quotes
Quotes that meet the agreed chase criteria, ranked deterministically â not by an algorithm's mood.
Curcle noticed.
A compact dashboard panel surfaces a handful of findings that need attention â a compliance item, a commercial item, an operational item. The ranking is deterministic, positive findings get equal standing, and it never shows more than a few things at once.
- Two certificates approach lapse next week.
- Three quotes meet the chase criteria.
- No schedule conflicts are forming today.
- 1 Curcle reads the records your operational work already creates.
- 2 Deterministic logic produces a structured finding â no AI sits in this path.
- 3 The finding carries its evidence, its freshness and who may see it.
- 4 Optional plain-language phrasing makes it easier to read â and is discarded if it doesn't match the finding.
- 5 The person remains responsible for the decision.

Sees the week taking shape â unassigned work, SLA pressure and capacity, before they become Monday-morning surprises.
Director
Sees what needs attention at business level â never private individual-performance findings. Person-scoped findings remain self-only.
Customer
Asks about their own record only â outstanding retests or unpaid invoices â scoped strictly to their customer account.

Donât Put Yourself in a Box
Personal Development and Career Growth
- Apr 26, 2024
- Companies need "boxes" (job classifications) to grow and function. This makes hiring, compensation, and career development tractable, and promotes fair treatment of employees.
- If the boxes are too large, a company can't grow. If the boxes are too small, innovation and ownership are smothered.
- The size of a company's boxes is directly proportional to the level of trust employees have for management.
- To get hired, put yourself in the box the company is hiring for. Tailor your resume to highlight those skills and experiences; put yourself out there as a âspecialistâ in the thing theyâre hiring for.
- If aiming for a promotion, demonstrate how your work embodies the behaviors and impacts of the next-level âboxâ.
- Don't let those boxes define you. Your value and identity goes far beyond any job description.
Businesses can't function at scale unless they put people in standardized "boxes"; if you want to be hired and to grow your career, you need to understand that, and understand how to work with those boxes. On the other hand, you can't be reduced to a box, and if you tie your identity to those boxes in your thinking, you'll limit yourself in ways that are unnatural and harmful.
This is like the paradox of Schrödinger's Cat, both alive and dead at the same time. Like with quantum mechanics and the cat, whether youâre in a box or not depends on whoâs doing the measuring: your employer, or you.
My Box Origin Story
My introduction to the idea of âboxesâ came in the late 2000s, when I noticed that people at Google were having a hard time getting hired or promoted if they were doing âoperationalâ work that didnât involve much traditional program management. Whether they were being considered for hiring or promotion, they were told, essentially, âYouâve done some great work, but itâs not program management; weâre not sure what role/ladder is a fit for you, but itâs not this one. Next!â
This was clearly a problemâeven though they didnât do PERT diagrams and Gantt charts, Googlers did important work in these roles, and roadblocks to hiring and promoting them created both operational and retention issues as jobs went vacant and high-performing employees felt their value wasnât being recognized. As a member of both Program Management hiring and promotion committees at Google I had more visibility to this issue than most others; I spoke to a friend of mine in People Operations (Googleâs HR), who turned out to already be well aware of this problem from repeatedly dealing with upset hiring managers and frustrated promotion candidates. Together, we hatched a plan: to create a new job ladder (job classification) for these âoperationalâ program managers to move to, that was better suited to the type of work they did.
We gathered some data, wrote a proposal, and set up a meeting with the SVP responsible for all engineering at Google. The SVP had been in quite a few meetings Iâd presented to before; I knew him to be not only a brilliant and capable leader, but a genuinely nice guy, too, so I had no worries about the meeting. Imagine my shock then, when this âgenuinely nice guyâ started yelling at us, telling my partner and I that we were going to wreck Google culture!
I vividly remember what he said: âDONâT PUT PEOPLE IN BOXES!â He told us Google needed some job classifications, but that our culture required those classifications to be both broad and vague so both employees and their managers wouldnât be blocked from doing whatever needed to be done. The worst thing we could do, the SVP told us, was to make the classification âboxesâ so small people could say âthatâs not my jobââwhich is precisely what he saw us proposing to do!
A year or two before this Google had shifted from having just three job types (over-broadly, they were âengineersâ, âtechnical people that donât do engineeringâ, and âeveryone elseâ) to having around around a dozen (one of which was my ladder, âTechnical Program Managersâ). There had been a lot of debate about whether those boxes were already too small⦠but the senior team had decided 12â15 job categories were acceptableâenough large boxes to make hiring, career development, and compensation more efficient, but not so many that jobs were defined too narrowly. We left his office dejected, but also enlightened: it said a lot to me that this SVP thought it so important to Googleâs culture, a lesson Iâve never forgotten. (Times have changed though; Google now has many more job ladders, including at least 5â10 âoperationalâ ladders broken off from Program Management well beyond what my friend and I had proposed).
Why Companies Need Boxes
Why do we need âboxesâ (job classifications) at all? Wouldnât the world be better if everyone just did whatever they saw that needed doing? The value of boxes to corporations comes down to two things: scaling and trust.
Scaling
If youâre in a small startup, you want employees who can wear many hats, and who wonât feel limited by things like job titles. Because there are so few employees, and because you know everyone personally and need everyone you hire to have an outsized impact, you can afford to put a lot of energy into every individual hiring decision. Compensation planning is pretty lightweight and customized, both because there arenât many people to deal with, and because you want to compensate people based on their contribution to the business, regardless of what their title is. Everyone is a âspecial snowflakeâ.
That changes quickly as your startup growsâyou cross a line where it becomes infeasible to treat every hire as a unique individual, with bespoke hiring and compensation. This is where âboxesâ become necessary: you have to put people into categories, with standards for how hiring, compensation, and career progression work for each boxâitâs the only way you can scale the company. The alternative to this would be to allow an increasing number of managers to continue bespoke hiring and comp within their own areas⦠which leads to the second issue, trust.
Trust
Because startups are so risky, the ability of potential employees to trust the founders is a big dealâif they donât appear trustworthy, theyâre not going to attract the kind of people they need. As the company grows, the number of managers that both employees and senior management need to trust grows, too. At some point it becomes too much: employeesâ willingness to âhave faithâ that managers will make fair and appropriate decisions drops lower and lower, so much so that everything will fall apart without the enforced fairness of standardized boxes.
ð¡
The size of the boxes in a company are directly proportional to the amount of trust employees have in management
Labor unions are the endgame for this sort of trust problem. One of the big rallying points for companies trying to avoid unionization is always to try to convince employees that management has their best interests at heart, and can be trusted. As a rule, unions have close to zero trust for management, andâas a direct consequenceâunions often push for the smallest âboxesâ possible: boxes for very narrow roles, subdivided by seniority, and sometimes further subdivided by location. They see this as the best way to ensure fairness in an environment where management canât be trusted at all. This is the ultimate version of the cultural harm my SVP was worried about.
Boxes and Hiring
Scaling and trust drive companies to put employees into standard categories, or boxes. How do those boxes affect hiring, and, understanding this, how can you better âsellâ yourself as a candidate for jobs?
Most companies above startup size need to hire for boxes, for the reasons given above; itâs just too much work to do anything else. It would be wonderful if recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers had the time to carefully read and savor every resume that came in, and then spend time meeting with every candidate to pull out nuances that didnât come across clearly in their job histories. Thatâs not the world we live in, though; there are too many candidates to get through, and too few hours in the day.
The usual practice is for recruiters to work with hiring managers to identify standard requirements (boxes, again!) that can be used to screen out people and reduce the number of candidates they need to go into more depth with (hiring managers will usually never see any of those dropped candidates). Those standard requirements are typically based on a template used for all jobs of the same ladder and level, extended with custom specs tailored to the particular role being hired for. In the language Iâve been using in this article, the job requirements are a very clear âboxâ, and the screening process only lets through candidates whose âshapesâ fit that box, like a childâs sorting toy.
Source: Flickr user rosipaw, CC BY-NC-SA 2.0
When there are lots of candidates for a tiny number of jobs, the recruiters donât magically get more time to handle the extra candidatesâinstead, they often deal with the overload by tightening the screening criteria even further: that is, by making the boxes smaller.
Behaviorally, the shift from âstartupâ to âbig companyâ, and the shift from rapid growth to slow growth, show up to candidates as employers become increasingly selective. Startups like generalists; big companies like specialists. If there are few people vying for each job, hiring managers won't care as much about past experience; if there are many candidates, theyâll only be interested in people whoâve previously done the same kind job theyâre hiring for. These trends are amplified when business is tough and hiring budgets are thin: hiring managers become nervous about using their scarce headcount on unproven candidatesâthey need people who have already shown success in exactly the job the manager needs done.
ð¡
Iâm writing this in April, 2024, in a time of high interest rates and widespread layoffs in tech, and when there are lots of AI-based screening tools being offered that promise to save recruiters time; you do the math about the current hiring marketâ¦
Besides being lucky, there are two powerful ways to cut through âsmall box screeningâ:
- Put yourself in the box theyâre hiring for. This means customizing your resume for each job you apply for, or at least for each type of job youâre going after. If theyâre hiring for someone with experience doing X, focus your resume on how youâve been successful doing X (or at least, things like X) in the past. When a recruiter or hiring manager looks at your resume, you want them to jump out of their chair and exclaim: âwow, this person is exactly what weâve been looking for!â
- Pull a Kobayashi Maru by bypassing the whole screening process: use your network of personal connections to get an introduction to the hiring manager. This is probably the single most powerful thing you can do because it exposes you to the hiring manager as a whole person, instead of a peg that fits in a box.
A similar situation arises with promotions: the people making decisions about whether you should be promoted or not donât (usually) have the familiarity with you, or the time, to make a customized decision⦠and doing so would create fairness issues. Instead, they look at whether you fit the next-level box. I want to talk about two parts to this: one related to the job ladder, and one related to the level.
Job Ladder
I vividly remember one promotion committee I served on, where we were deciding whether or not to promote an individual who had unquestionably performed at the next level⦠but the work theyâd done wasnât consistent with the job ladder (work classification) they were assigned to. They had delivered amazing business impact through striking personal initiative, leadership, and hard work⦠but what theyâd done had nothing in common with the sort of work expected for the job ladder, or âboxâ, they were in. Should we promote them, or not? We debated the question for far longer than weâd spent on any other candidate weâd reviewed, called in HR support to advise us, and⦠we couldnât decide. The rules were that âif you canât decide, the decision needs to be ânoââ, so we ended by turning down the promotion and recommending the person for a large cash bonus, instead. Our decision was appealed, and the appeal was denied, too, for the same reason: despite the great work, the candidateâs work was outside the box.
Sometimes the process and people deciding on your promotions will be more amenable to âoutside the boxâ work, but really, regardless of whoâs making the promotion decision, and what their ârules of engagementâ are, your chances of success will be greatly enhanced by you being aware of the box imposed by your job ladder as you go about your work, and as you explain that work to others. To be clear: Iâm not saying to limit what you work onâthatâs the ânot my jobâ problem the SVP at the beginning of the article was talking about! What I am saying is that you should proactively plan how you will describe your work in ways consistent with the box.
For example, if youâre a Program Manager and spent a lot of time creating product requirements (the work of a Product Manager at most companies), when you and your direct manager describe it to others, be sure you both talk about (for example) the work you did to understand what other work was dependent on having the requirements, how you delegated and tracked some of the work on market research, bringing it all together into a single document, how you built consensus on the requirements, communicated them to the engineering team, and then managed scope creepâall things that are part of the description of the Program Management box. This makes it easy for the people who will decide on your promotion to say âHuzzah! They did both the Program and Product Managementâ, instead of saying âThis was great Product Management, too bad theyâre a Program Manager.â
Job Level
Really, this is a topic that deserves (and will get) an article all on its own, but I think itâs relevant to surface it here: in general, higher level jobs arenât just harder/bigger/broader versions of lower level jobs: theyâre different âboxesâ altogether. The next-level behaviors senior people are looking for are often behaviors that arenât exercised much, if at all, at your current level. I think of these as âphase changesâ, analogous to the phase changes water goes through as it turns from solid ice to liquid to gas as you turn up the heat: itâs always the same water, but it looks and behaves differently in each phase. Some of these transitions are more abrupt and noticeable than others, but theyâre definitely there. At Google for example, there are noticeable differences between all levels, but the âphase changesâ are especially acute between levels 5 and 6, and between levels 7 and 8.
The takeaway here is that you can greatly increases your chances of success by understanding what those âphase changesâ are (more senior mentors can be super helpful in this)âwhatâs qualitatively different about the next-level boxâand then work with your manager to proactively plan how you will describe your work in ways that highlight those qualitative differences.
Boxes and You
So after telling you about the importance of âboxesâ, now Iâm going to tell you⦠to avoid them!
This sure looks like a paradox, but let me explain!
Weâve been talking about how companies, managers, and recruiters use boxes, and how, because of scaling and trust, itâs just not practical for them to operate in any other way. Weâd hope that they donât make the boxes too small, and that they have good judgment in how they apply them⦠but boxes are a fact of life in the world of work.
The place where you should avoid boxes isnât in the workplace, though: it's in your head. Itâs completely natural for peopleâs occupation and organization to become a part of their identity⦠but it's harmful to let that go too far: you are not your job, and you are not your job title.
A lot has been written about the psychology of tying oneâs identity to their job, but the thing I want to focus on here is how putting yourself in a box in your own thinking (e.g. seeing yourself as a âProduct Managerâ, as a âGooglerâ, and so on) can mean putting counterproductive limits on your own behavior, and your own thinking about whatâs possible.
ð¡
Youâre much more than, and much more capable than, the box youâre in.
From a career perspective, itâs a good practice to periodically take some time out and take stock of where you are now and how that fits with where you want to go. If you do this sort of self-assessment youâll often decide youâre basically on the right path and just need to make some minor adjustments⦠but sometimes youâll realize that the path youâre on wonât take you where you want to be, and that bigger changes are needed: maybe you should ask your manager for different responsibilities? Change teams? Change job ladders? Even change companies? All of those require seeing beyond the box youâre in.
Even though you need to describe yourself in terms of boxes to get where you are now, if your own thinking is constrained by those boxes, it will be hard for you to see that maybe the best path for you is quite different from the one youâre on. Maybe you should change teams? Roles? Departments? Even change your city, or your employer? Donât get me wrong: I know plenty of people whoâve been in more or less the same job, in the same place, working for the same company, for many years, and theyâre very happy⦠but itâs also common for people stay in the same role because they see that role defining them, instead of just being something they do.
How You Can Bring Order From Chaos, Today
Here are some things you can do now to apply these ideas:
- If youâre looking for a job now, describe yourself as being well inside the box your potential employer is hiring for: tune your resume to the job youâre going after. You should have a different resume at least for every âclassâ of job, and sometimes for each specific job. It can be hard to do it if youâre going after several types of job at the same time, but your LinkedIn resume needs to support the more focused, specialized resumes youâre using. Make sure you highlight the skills and expertise called out in the job ads youâre applying to, and talk about your skill and experience in that area. No one hires generalists, so donât call yourself one in your resume; instead, describe yourself as a specialist in the very thing your target company is hiring for.
- If youâre working toward a promotion now, put yourself in the box you want to be promoted to. Ask your manager and mentors to help you understand the heart of the next-level box, and think about how you can describe your work, behavior, and accomplishments in terms of that box.
- Donât tie your identity to the box youâre in. You are a complete person with a personality, skills, and experience that transcend any mere box, and if you tie up your identity with the boxes other people put you in, you will limit the paths you can take and the things you can accomplish.
I'd love to hear about your experiences with boxes! If you're a paid supporter of this newsletter (hint, hint!) you can add comments below.
