Senior Backend Engineer
  • Akuity

senior backend engineer saas

About Akuity

With the move to the cloud, Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand and deploy their K8s deployments via GitOps.

Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.

The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds – if not thousands – of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for the enterprises.

Our mission is to simplify the software delivery process so that DevOps and Platform Engineering teams can move fast, and deploy code effortlessly without the fear of breaking things.

The Role

As one of the senior engineers at Akuity, you will work on actively building and continuously improving Akuity's SaaS platform for our global developer community. We're looking for developers who build tools with an empathic mindset and are comfortable cross collaborating with others. You know developers and how to build tools to solve their pain points. Beyond building developer-centric tools, you will mentor team members around engineering best practices, participate in product development, and help contribute to the company's culture. This is an exciting position for someone to impact developer tools and the developer ecosystem globally.

Head of Security
  • Tremendous
  • New York, New York, New York, United States
exec design architecture recruiter
Tremendous is the global platform built for businesses to send payouts—gift cards and money—to anyone, anywhere, instantly. We're trusted by 20,000+ organizations, from startups to giants like Atlassian, MIT, and United Way, to reach millions of recipients worldwide.

We're profitable and growing without outside investors. We're fully remote, with a high-documentation, low-meeting culture that leaves more time for the work that matters—and for your life outside it. Our employee NPS sits in the high 80s.

We move billions of dollars through our systems. That makes security existential, and it's why we're making our first dedicated security hire.

About The Role

You'll be our first Head of Security. There's already a real foundation here—bug bounty, pen tests, automated code and configuration scanning on the production and code side, phishing simulations on the people side. You’ll add to it across access and identity, SecOps and monitoring, incident response, vendor security, employee security practices, and policy. You'll own the whole posture.

This is a player-coach role. Early on, you'll do the scoping and the hands-on work yourself; this is not a role where you direct from above. As the work demands it, we're fully prepared to build a team here—and we're looking to you to define what that team should be and when.

You'll report to the VP of Engineering, Tremendous' most senior technical leader. We've deliberately placed security with Engineering so you're set up to drive real implementation fast—embedded with the people whose work you're securing, not siloed in a compliance function. As the security function matures, we'll revisit this.

What You'll Do

  • Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end, partnering with our engineering team on production infrastructure and code security.
  • Assess where we have gaps, prioritize them, and tackle our highest-leverage gaps first. We’ll have opinions, but you own the prioritization and implementation.
  • Treat incident response as core, not afterthought. We may not be able to prevent a breach, but your job is making sure it's small, contained, and that we know exactly what to do.
  • Drive security as a cultural shift across the company—introducing controls incrementally, working with teams rather than over them. "Yes, and," not "no."
  • Lead our AI-security posture. We invest heavily in AI tooling; your job is to manage that risk and enable it, not to ban it.
  • Define when and how to staff up the security function, and hire your own team.

What You'll Bring

  • Real, hands-on security experience at a company that scaled—ideally as an early security hire who grew with the business through high growth.
  • Deep experience in at least one core security domain—product/production security, security operations, or access/identity and policy—with enough range to reason across the others. You defined the security posture, not just executed someone else’s playbook.
  • An engineer's mindset. You reach for code to solve problems and can read our codebase and understand our infrastructure (Ruby on Rails; TypeScript + React; PostgreSQL; Google Cloud). You won't write much day-to-day, but you're not lost in the code.
  • Judgment over checklists. You can explain the actual risk of a given decision, hold a firm line where it matters, and give ground where "best practice" doesn't apply to us or real business need pulls the other way. You can hold your own in a debate about whether to open up broad data access for AI tooling.
  • Bedside manner. You drive hard change by bringing the team around to your point of view, rather than just telling them no. Engineers and the rest of the company want to work with you.
  • Experience building or co-building a small security team is a plus.
  • Fintech, payments, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.

What's Cool About The Role

  • You define the function. First security leader, with the budget for the required tools and team.
  • A real mandate. The push for this hire comes straight from the founders.
  • We invest in your tools. Everyone has a $5k/month budget for AI tools. Use it.
  • Competitive pay and equity. Base salary $250,000–$330,000, plus meaningful equity.
  • Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the Americas.
  • Great culture. Read more about how we work in our public handbook.

Job Summary

The Principal Data Engineer is the highest-performing contributor on our data engineering team - the person who sets the technical bar, owns the data platform end to end, and delivers work that others study. You'll define and execute data strategy at the engineering level, operating as the technical point of the spear for how the organization builds, scales, and trusts its data. You write production code. You design the architecture. You solve the problems that block everyone else. You mentor without being asked, influence without authority, and deliver without handholding. You're a force multiplier and you're hungry to shape not just the platform, but the broader data strategy of the business.

Microsoft Fabric is our data platform. This role is for someone genuinely energized by the Fabric ecosystem, who tracks its evolution closely and sees its breadth - Lakehouse’s, Event streams, Semantic models, Notebooks, Pipelines, Direct Lake as an opportunity, not a constraint. If you're looking for a role where your technical judgment shapes the trajectory of the entire data organization, this is exactly it.

What You'll Do...

  • Design and implement dimensional models, star schemas, and snowflake schemas with rigor
  • Build and maintain semantic models that serve as the single source of truth for business reporting
  • Implement Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) strategies appropriate to each domain
  • Own master data engineering: golden record patterns, source-of-record authority, cross-system identity resolution
  • Establish and enforce data modeling standards across the team
  • Design and operate real-time and near-real-time pipelines using streaming technologies (Kafka, Confluent Cloud, Fabric Eventstreams) — and know when streaming is the right answer and when it isn't
  • Relentlessly drive down data staleness in non-streaming scenarios through intelligent scheduling, incremental load optimization, and pipeline orchestration design
  • Own performance tuning across the full stack — query optimization, partition strategy, indexing, Delta table compaction, semantic model refresh efficiency, and Direct Lake readiness
  • Apply operational engineering discipline: pipeline observability, alerting, SLA definition, failure recovery, and capacity planning
  • Design and implement controls appropriate for sensitive data (financials, PII, HIPAA, etc.)

ETL / ELT Pipeline Development

  • Build robust, scalable, observable pipelines — watermark-based incremental loads, CDC patterns, batch and streaming architectures
  • Ensure pipelines are idempotent, recoverable, and production-hardened
  • Serve as the senior technical voice in code review — your approval carries weight

Report & Analytics Delivery

  • Translate business requirements into semantic models and report-layer artifacts that non-technical users can trust and navigate
  • Serve as the platform's primary technical interface across consumer groups: Power BI report builders needing trusted, well-modeled semantic layers; AI/ML developers needing governed, feature-ready data surfaces; application developers consuming data via SQL endpoints, REST APIs, or Direct Lake
  • Define and enforce data contracts — schema stability, access patterns, SLAs — for each consumer class
  • Own the developer experience of the platform: discoverability, documentation, and onboarding

Required

  • Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouses, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, Event streams, Semantic Models, Direct Lake mode
  • Power BI: report development, dataset/semantic model design, DAX proficiency
  • SQL Server / Azure SQL/Postgres: query optimization, schema design, stored procedures
  • Azure DevOps: Git-based development workflows, CI/CD for data pipelines

·        Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants in a production engineering workflow

·        Ability to critically evaluate, edit, and improve AI-generated code and artifacts

·        Clear understanding of where AI accelerates work and where it introduces risk

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with broader Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, Event Hubs) as complementary tooling
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or multi-entity portfolio company environment
  • Exposure to MDM platforms (Profisee, Semarchy, Ataccama, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Confluent Cloud / Apache Kafka for streaming ingestion into Fabric or Synapse
  • Familiarity with cross-tenant Azure / Fabric architecture
  • Background in business analysis, solutions architecture, or pre-sales engineering
  • Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineer certifications
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off
  • Short Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Training & Development
  • Wellness Resources

backend engineer senior ai
About Kalepa: Insurance is a $7T global industry built on professional labor: underwriting, claims, pricing, operations, and distribution. Kalepa is building AI that can perform that work. We create professional-grade AI systems for insurers: software that can read, reason, decide, and act inside real workflows and operate over long-time horizons. Kalepa begins by augmenting professionals with the tools to succeed at their jobs. That earns us the right to learn from real decisions, capture decision traces, and automate what can be automated successfully over time. Our products are already in production with leading insurers, driving measurable outcomes and expanding across functions. The opportunity is far broader than any single workflow: to build the AI operating system for decision-making across insurance. For people who want to work on AI that matters, in a sector where correctness, trust, and real-world impact count, Kalepa is just getting started. Kalepa is backed by leading investors such as IA Ventures and Inspired Capital, and our team brings experience from Facebook, Palantir, Google, Amazon, McKinsey, Mastercard, and Uber. Our Values (This is important): Many organizations have a dusty list of corporate values that no one ever follows. Kalepa is not one of those companies. Our values are designed to unlock the potential of our employees. Success at Kalepa is bred from five core principles: Hustle and Determination - We hire people who take full ownership of their craft and relentlessly pursue excellence with speed and determination. We choose the hard problems and do not give up. This is the foundation of how we work and how we win. Deliver Customer Impact - We're obsessed with customer impact. Every feature, every line of code, every decision is measured against one question: does this help insurers make better decisions? If it doesn't drive speed, accuracy, or profitability for our customers, we don't build it. Meritocracy - We're building something exceptional, and that requires exceptional people and ideas. We have a high bar but we reward excellence with rapid growth. If you're the best at what you do, you'll thrive here.

Paralegal
  • Giga Energy
  • Greater Houston,
saas salesforce hr recruiter
Why join Giga

  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.

What You’ll Do

As Paralegal, you’ll take full ownership of the NDA & intake process. You’ll drive NDAs to execution independently, without attorneys needing to be involved. You’ll maintain a centralized legal intake process — a single place where requests come in, get triaged, and get worked — and then hold the rest of the company accountable to using it. You’ll own the signature pipeline end to end: queuing documents, sending them out, and tracking them to completion. This is a highly autonomous role: you’ll be given the outcome we need and trusted to enforce the process to get there, adapting as priorities shift.

This role starts as an individual contributor with real scope across every project at Giga, and there’s a clear path to take on bigger, more complex work as you prove out the process.

Where you’ll work

This role is remote. Travel is light — expect roughly 0–10%, mainly for occasional in-person team time.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end NDA process — draft, negotiate, and drive NDAs to execution independently, escalating to attorneys only on true edge cases.
  • Design and own a centralized legal intake process, replacing today’s scattered mix of personal email, Slack channels and DMs, and texts with a single, clear front door for legal requests.
  • Triage incoming legal requests — route them appropriately and set expectations on turnaround.
  • Enforce the intake process company-wide: when requests bypass it, redirect requesters back into the right workflow, including on Dave’s behalf.
  • Manage the full signature pipeline — queue documents, send for e-signature, and track them to completion.
  • Maintain and organize the contract repository so agreements are easy to find, track, and report on.
  • Partner with attorneys and business teams to keep the legal function organized and responsive as request volume grows.
  • Take on larger, higher-complexity projects as you build trust and track record in the role.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal operations role.
  • Experience independently managing NDAs from drafting through execution.
  • Experience building, running, or significantly improving a legal intake or triage process.
  • Working knowledge of e-signature tools, contract repositories, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, exercising sound judgment on when to escalate to attorneys.
  • Comfortable enforcing process consistently while staying flexible as priorities and workflows shift.

Bonus points

  • Paralegal certificate.
  • 10+ years of experience in a legal operations or paralegal role.
  • Experience standing up legal intake or operations processes from scratch.
  • Experience supporting legal teams at a high-growth or fast-paced company.
  • Experience preparing legal notes or executive briefs.

Benefits

  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Commuter benefits
  • Monthly team on-sites where all offices come in-person to collaborate

Who We Hire

We hire people who thrive in chaos and get sharper under pressure. You don't wait to be told what to do, you spot the gap and fill it. When there's work to be done, you do it. You make decisions with the information you have, move fast, and adjust along the way. We're not looking for perfect; we're looking for people who get things done.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement

Giga Energy is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws. Giga Energy complies with all applicable labor laws, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and other relevant state and federal regulations. We provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and encourage applicants who require accommodations during the hiring process to contact us.

Sr Software Engineer B E
  • Rebuy, Inc.
  • Remote
senior backend php go

The Company You’ll Join

At Rebuy, we’re on a mission to revolutionize shopping with intelligent, personalized experiences that wow customers around the globe. As a fully remote team, we power some of the fastest-growing DTC brands like Aviator Nation, Liquid Death, Magic Spoon, Blenders, Laird Superfoods, Primal Kitchen, and many more.

We believe in ownership, drive, and empathy, and strongly uphold that every team member plays a vital role in shaping the future of intelligent commerce. Our culture thrives on collaboration, creativity, and genuine passion. We don’t just build great tech - we build lasting partnerships, a strong community, and a place where people love to work.

The Problems You’ll Solve

Rebuy and its team members continually strive to create a high-spirited, intentional work environment that stresses performance, productivity, collaboration, and merit.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, Back-End, you’ll own some of the most consequential systems at Rebuy. Your primary anchor is our billing and payments infrastructure — the engine that determines how merchants are charged, how partners get paid, and how financial balances flow across our entire product suite. This is genuinely complex financial engineering. It requires deep PHP and Go expertise, careful architecture, and judgment that no automated tool can replicate. Merchant billing runs daily, touches real revenue, and demands someone who understands both the technical and business dimensions of every decision.

Alongside billing, you’ll grow into a broader platform portfolio — the partner portal, data ETL pipelines, customer-facing APIs, and reporting infrastructure that power the business. And in the near term, you’ll play a critical role in a significant technical migration: moving our legacy Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4, including work tied to increasing our enterprise market share. This migration requires hands-on PHP expertise and cannot be deferred.

You won’t be handed a sprawling list of things you must do on day one. You’ll be trusted to grow into this role — and rewarded when you do.

  • Billing & Payments Architecture: Design and build Rebuy’s centralized billing system that handles merchant billing, partner payments, and customer-facing charges. Architect the integration layer that allows payment balances to be applied across Rebuy’s full suite of services. Tackle genuinely complex financial engineering challenges with PHP and Go at scale.

  • Build Robust APIs: Design and implement secure, well-structured APIs in PHP and Go to power billing events, payment processing, and financial data flows across our platform and Shopify integrations.

  • Legacy Modernization: Lead and contribute to the migration of our Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4. This is high-priority, near-term work with real business dependencies — including enterprise partnership commitments — and requires a PHP engineer with the experience and judgment to do it right.

  • Agentify the Platform: Partner with product and engineering to identify where AI agents can automate workflows, surface insights, and guide merchants through our product. Build the backend systems — APIs, data pipelines, and event hooks — that enable intelligent automation. This is genuinely new territory and one of the most exciting growth vectors for Rebuy’s product.

  • Platform Breadth: Our team owns more than billing and payments — we also support a partner portal, data ETL pipelines, customer-facing reporting APIs, and the infrastructure that makes data flow reliably across the business. You won’t be responsible for all of it on day one, but you’ll have genuine opportunities to grow into the areas that most interest you. Engineers here don’t get siloed; they get context.

  • Engineering Best Practices: Contribute significantly to the engineering culture at Rebuy by establishing, documenting, and promoting best practices. Lead initiatives to introduce and standardize frameworks and tools that increase development efficiency and maintainability.

  • Security & Compliance: Stay current with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices as they apply to billing and payment systems. Champion security-first engineering across authentication, authorization, data encryption, and compliance considerations in everything you build.

  • PHP Technical Leadership: Serve as a key technical anchor for PHP across the engineering organization. Rebuy’s codebase has significant PHP depth and relatively few engineers with that expertise. You’ll lead code reviews, share knowledge actively, and help raise the PHP competency of the broader team.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on deliverables to ensure code, setup, and configurations meet expected results. Ensure that all features meet high standards of quality and performance before deployment.

  • Team Collaboration: Engage actively in building a strong team culture. Work closely with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and peers across billing, payments, partner tools, and data infrastructure to define requirements, estimate effort, and drive solutions forward. This is a team where your voice matters — you won’t just be handed tickets. Assist the Support team in triaging and resolving high-priority production issues.

Technologies We Use:

  • AI: Anthropic Enterprise Claude Code / Co-work, Cursor, Adhoc AI tools budget.

  • Frontend Technologies: React, TypeScript, GraphQL, VueJS, Angular

  • Backend technologies: PHP, GO, MySQL, BigTable, Elasticsearch

  • Other Tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack, One Password, Notion

Who You Are

We’re stoked to meet you and get to learn more about you, your experience and your interest in joining our team.

The Hard Skills:

  • Experience building or maintaining billing, payments, or financial systems — including working with payment processors, subscription engines, invoicing pipelines, or similar financial infrastructure in a production SaaS environment.

  • Educational background in CS // Engineering or a similar area.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend applications with PHP and Go, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-traffic systems.

  • Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs in PHP and Go, with a deep understanding of API design patterns, versioning, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably GCP.

  • Strong understanding of a performant SaaS environment.

  • Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment.

  • Experience with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Bitbucket.

  • Solid understanding of security fundamentals as they apply to backend and financial systems — including secure coding practices, authentication/authorization patterns, data encryption, and awareness of current vulnerability trends (e.g. OWASP Top 10)

The Soft Skills:

  • A collaborative mindset and work approach with the ability to lead projects and mentor others.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibilities.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially being able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Genuinely curious about the intersection of engineering and business. You care about the downstream impact of what you build — not just that the code works, but that it moves the company forward.

Who You’ll Meet With

Now let’s get into who you’ll meet during our interview process! After you submit your application and it’s been reviewed by our team, we will reach out to you inviting you to meet with us. From there, you can expect an interview process similar to this:

  • An introductory call with someone from the Talent Acquisition team for about 30 min.

  • A coding challenge and white boarding exercise to show us your skillset during a live panel interview with a few team members.

  • Short final interview with our CEO and COO where you’ll get to learn more about Rebuy.

The Perks You’ll Enjoy

Rebuy is a fully remote company across the U.S. and Canada that aims to provide all of our team with the resources, support and flexibility they need to thrive in their roles.

  • Team: We’ve got the best, brightest, most brilliant team members who are excited to meet you! We also like to think we have a good sense of humor.

  • Comfortable owning budgets and managing vendor relationships with minimal oversight.
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Available for a consistent part-time commitment each week (hours to be agreed at contract stage).

    Rippling
    • StackAmplify
    • Anupgarh,
    infosec technical customer support ops
    The verdict

Rippling is one of the strongest products you can buy if you run HR, IT, and finance as connected systems, and the review data backs that up: 4.8 across more than 14,000 G2 reviews and 4.9 on Capterra. The onboarding automation that provisions payroll, benefits, IT access, and a device in one move is the standout, and it earns its keep. Go in clear-eyed about two things: the modular, quote-based pricing stacks faster than people expect, and the first-week learning curve is real.

    Key features

One employee record that drives everything

Hire someone once and the record propagates everywhere: payroll, benefits, device provisioning, app access, and offboarding all read from it, so a department change updates downstream automatically.

    Automated payroll and tax compliance

Rippling calculates payroll taxes and files them with the correct federal, state, and local agencies, supports multi-entity and global payroll for employees and contractors, and stores electronic W-2s and 1099s.

    One-click onboarding and offboarding

A single flow sends offer letters, enrolls payroll and benefits, ships a device, and grants app logins; offboarding runs it in reverse, revoking access and triggering device returns.

    Benefits administration with payroll sync

Over 500 EDI and API carrier integrations, integrated HSA/FSA/commuter accounts with automatic payroll-deduction sync, COBRA and ACA automation, and bring-your-own-broker support alongside Rippling's PEO and brokerage.

    600+ out-of-the-box integrations

Connects QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Guideline for 401(k), Checkr for background checks, plus identity and productivity tools, with real user provisioning, attribute mapping, and cross-app workflow automation.

Modular HR, IT, and Finance products

Buy the core Rippling Platform, then add only the products you need across HR (Payroll, Benefits, Learning, Performance), IT (Identity, Device, Inventory), and Finance (Corporate Cards, Expenses, Bill Pay).

    What it is

Rippling is an HR platform that doesn’t stop at HR. The core is a single employee record: hire someone once, and that record drives payroll, benefits, device provisioning, app access, and offboarding. Where most HR software treats the employee database as a system of record, Rippling treats it as a trigger. Change a person’s department and Rippling updates it everywhere downstream. Onboard a new hire and it enrolls them in payroll, sets up their benefits, ships a laptop, and grants the right app logins from the same flow.

The product is sold in modules. There’s a core, required Rippling Platform, and then you buy what you need on top of it: HR products (Payroll, Benefits, Learning, Performance, Recruiting, Time & Attendance), IT products (Identity & Access, Device, Inventory), and Finance products (Corporate Cards, Expenses, Bill Pay). The pitch, and it’s a real one, is that all three sit on the same data, so the IT and finance sides aren’t bolted-on afterthoughts.

    Who it’s for

This is built for the company that has outgrown a point HR tool but is also tired of running payroll in one place, device management in another, and expense reports in a third. If you’re hiring across multiple states or countries, Rippling’s strongest. It runs multi-entity and global payroll, stores W-2s and 1099s, and handles contractors through dedicated products. Reviewers who pay people internationally describe currency conversion and cross-border pay as something Rippling “just takes care of.”

It’s a worse fit for a simple operation. If you have fifteen domestic employees, one benefits plan, and no real IT footprint, the all-in-one model is overkill, and reviewers say exactly that, warning that simpler teams risk overbuying. You’d be paying for breadth you won’t use and absorbing a configuration burden you don’t need. Rippling rewards companies that genuinely run HR, IT, and finance as connected systems. If those live in separate departments that never talk, you lose the main reason to buy it.

    Why it stands out

Onboarding and offboarding is the standout, and it’s not close. Capterra logs 97% positive mentions on onboarding, with reviewers describing clear step-by-step guidance to add employees, configure payroll, and connect benefits. business.com calls it a major strength. The thing people keep describing is “one-click onboarding” that provisions payroll, IT access, and a device in a single action, and the same automation runs in reverse at offboarding, revoking access and triggering device returns. The January 2026 release added advanced Microsoft 365 offboarding actions, which is exactly the kind of detail that matters when someone leaves.

The unified platform is the second genuine win. Capterra users rate the all-in-one dashboard 98% positive, and reviewers repeatedly call out Rippling’s UI as the best they’ve used in an HRMS. Collapsing payroll, benefits, and people data into one synced record removes the manual re-entry and the reconciliation errors that plague stitched-together stacks.

Integration breadth is the third. Rippling ships 600+ (the FAQ says 650+) out-of-the-box integrations: QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Guideline for 401(k), Checkr for background checks, plus the usual identity and productivity tools, with real provisioning and attribute mapping, not just data export. Reviewers call this exceptional. The one caveat worth flagging: Expert Market notes Rippling doesn’t natively integrate with third-party HR systems, so the strength is in app provisioning and internal cross-module sync rather than swapping out parts of the HR stack.

    Pricing in plain language

Rippling starts around $8 per employee per month, but that number tells you very little. The real model is modular and quote-based: there’s no full price list on the site, and some products carry a monthly base fee on top of the per-employee rate. You buy the core platform, then add each product separately. That’s the flexibility selling point and the budgeting headache in one.

Here’s where the wall is: the modules stack. Independent reviewers are consistent on this, the per-employee base is reasonable, but as you add Benefits, Device Management, Expenses, and the rest, the total climbs in ways that aren’t obvious upfront. The most common complaint across G2, Capterra, and third-party reviews isn’t that Rippling is bad value, it’s that the total cost is hard to see coming. Benefits administration is a particular gotcha: it’s a separate paid module, which is why business.com calls benefits a “notable weakness” on cost grounds, though those fees can be waived if Rippling is your broker or PEO.

Get a real quote before you fall in love with the demo, and price the modules you’ll actually turn on, not the ones that look nice in the sales deck.

    Limitations

The learning curve is real. The same feature density that makes Rippling powerful makes it overwhelming on day one. G2 reviewers describe it as a lot to absorb, especially for new admins. This is the cost of the all-in-one model, and it’s worth budgeting setup time for.

Stability is the more concerning one. Capterra reviewers flag platform bugs and slow loads (48% negative) and auth or session timeouts (46% negative), and the mobile app comes up as occasionally buggy and missing features the desktop version has. More seriously, payroll, the thing you most need to be boring and correct, has edge cases. Capterra reviewers report incorrect overtime calculations that forced them to claw back overpayments, and Thrivea notes tax edge-case issues. The payroll engine is rated highly overall, with a 100% error-free filing guarantee cited by business.com, but the exceptions are the kind you remember.

Reporting is the quieter gap. 43% of Capterra mentions on reporting are negative, centered on a lack of customization. If you need to slice your people data in non-standard ways, expect to fight the report builder. Benefits enrollment is the last one worth naming: Thrivea reports the workflows can feel clunky or incomplete, which is part of why benefits sentiment runs mixed even though the payroll-to-deduction sync is well liked.

    The bottom line

If you’re a growing company running HR, IT, and finance as connected systems, especially across states or borders, Rippling is one of the strongest products you can buy, and the review data backs that up. The onboarding automation alone earns its keep, and the unified record genuinely removes work. Buy it for the integration, not just the HR.

But go in clear-eyed. Get a real quote and add up every module you’ll switch on, because the stacking is where people get surprised. Budget setup time for the learning curve. And if you’re a small, single-country team with simple benefits and no IT footprint, this is more platform than you need, you’ll pay for breadth you won’t touch. Rippling rewards complexity. Bring it the right kind, and it’s excellent.

    What people are saying online

Rippling is one of the most highly rated HR platforms I track, 4.8 across more than 14,000 G2 reviews and 4.9 on Capterra. Users love the unified dashboard and the way onboarding fires off payroll, benefits, and IT setup in one move. The platform is most positive for growing companies that genuinely run HR, IT, and finance together and have the bandwidth to configure it. The recurring frustrations are the same ones every time: a steep first-week learning curve, occasional bugs and slow loads, and a modular price tag that stacks up faster than people expect.

Drawn from independent reviews and discussions, separate from our methodology score.

    What people love

    Using Technology a Crisis
    • DEVENEY
    • Jharsuguda,
    marketing web dev video finance
In our everyday lives, we don’t think much about the ease of firing off a text, reading the latest in the Twittersphere, or checking the balance in our bank account. These are all fast, easy, and practically second nature to us. Things haven’t always been this way. The days of awaiting a written letter from a faraway friend and writing checks seem long ago, and much has changed courtesy of the technology boom.

When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005, most people had cell phones. The storm rendered cell towers inoperable, so calls via cell phones were not an option. Texting was in its early stages and not yet recognized as a reliable and ubiquitous communication channel. Most phones had limited texting capability, and then it was awkward, time-consuming, and tedious at best.

Communication availability and reliability have greatly improved since those dark days. But recent disasters, including Hurricane Ida, remind us that cell phone networks’ service interruptions remain a problem. Such service interruptions mean your business may also be without its standard ways of operating.

This blog offers suggestions for using available technological tools when a crisis happens. Our real-life experience managing the enormity of communication challenges post-Katrina taught us to seek multiple ways to share information and target the groups receiving it.

We counsel clients to keep their people first and foremost in times of crisis. Is your team safe? Do they need any assistance? How would they ask for help? How will you let them know assistance is available? Meeting the needs of employees will help keep your institution operating during difficult times. Keeping them informed on status updates regarding operations is also a must. They will need regular updates to reassure them that the institution will weather whatever calamity has come its way.

Connecting with your employees can happen in several ways – email, text, phone calls, or intranet. Take the time to create a short video. Even one recorded on your phone will go a long way in calming fears and building trust. Recent research showed that employees whose company kept them informed via videos during the pandemic felt more secure in their jobs and confident in the overall recovery of their company post-COVID.

Once you are sure your employees are safe, you can focus on your customers. These two audiences may have several commonalities. But keep in mind that the messages to your internal and external audiences will be different. The growth of social media utilization can be a lifesaver in reaching your customers.

    Communications Audit

An audit of your communication function may be in order. We suggest our clients perform this in-depth look periodically and not just when a crisis looms. Spending time analyzing channels, messages, and schedules now will pay great benefits later should your institution face an emergency.

As part of this audit, consider both your employees and customers. Your responsibility to each is equally important, but each will have a different focus. Employees’ information needs will include other items than those for your customers.

As a leader in your business, you’ll have plenty to do should a crisis occur. Delegating and advance planning will be a significant help to you. As part of your communication audit, have communication roles and responsibilities identified and that information shared with team members responsible for enacting the plan.

Break Down The Communication Tasks Into These Basic Categories

Who: Who is responsible for updating the digital communication channels?

    • All social media channels should be updated and monitored. Monitor other sites for mentions of your business as well.
    • If office/business locations are listed on Google My Business, ensure days and hours of operation are updated.

Where: Where is your business represented online?

    • All social media channels should be updated and monitored. Monitor other sites for mentions of your business as well.
    • If office/business locations are listed on Google My Business, ensure days and hours of operation are updated.
    • Work with your web team or outside partner to have your website ready to activate a public-facing crisis-related page if necessary.
    • Remember to keep team members updated via your intranet. They will be important ambassadors for your institution during a crisis, and they need to know how the situation will impact their jobs.

    What: What is the update?

    • This is the most current information you want customers and employees to know regarding the situation.
    • Get approval from your legal team before releasing information.
    • You do not have to rush announcements. Make sure you allow enough time for thorough review and approvals before sharing updates.

    When: When are updates made?

    • Every situation is different. It is essential to have a clear and concise update describing the problem (power outage, information leak, or whatever the case may be) and update when you can. If it is a crisis that will last longer than a day, you will need additional updates.
    • If you decide to put a specific time on your next update, be sure you meet it, even if you don’t have new information.
    • The situation may call for updating several times. Be sure to do so in all channels and remember your website and intranet as well. Your team will watch those sites for details too.

How: This can be the trickiest part of handling a crisis and where advance planning will be a lifesaver.

    • Make sure those responsible for handling your online presence have access to do so. This means they need logins and passwords for all communication channels even if they don’t regularly handle those tasks.
    • You may consider investing in mobile hotspot devices to provide internet access for key team members. Plans vary in price and ability but could be a worthwhile investment in times of crisis involving loss of electricity or Wi-Fi.

The relationship of trust between customers and their chosen businesses is an important one. The same can be said for employees. Both expect – and deserve – to hear from you in times of crisis and learn how the situation will impact them.

As a leader, prepare now. Solidify and protect these priceless relationships. Your future will be brighter, and you will be grateful that you did if a crisis happens.

    Customer Support Associate
    • Habitat Learn

    customer support ios macos teaching
Location: Greater Toronto Area preferred; open to candidates elsewhere in Ontario

    Type: Part-time, Casual, Subcontractor

    Reports to: Customer Support Manager

    Closing Date: July 24, 2026

    About Us

We're the team behind Messenger Pigeon, our flagship app used by students/learners everywhere, along with a growing suite of other products. We believe great support is human support. While a lot of companies are racing to automate their customer service away, we're doing the opposite — investing in real people providing accommodative supports because we believe that's the best way to help our users in a meaningful way.

    About The Role

We're looking for Customer Support Associates who can take a patient approach to problem-solving to join our team. You will be working as frontline contacts to offer live, realtime support across phone, live chat, and email — helping our users (many of whom are students/learners) navigate Messenger Pigeon and our other products.

This isn't a script-reading, ticket-closing kind of support job. Many of our users have disabilities, and we listen to gain insight to the barriers our users experience and support them accordingly. Successful incumbents will be those willing to take real pride in helping people, not just resolving cases as quickly as possible.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide primary support for Messenger Pigeon, our flagship app, along with support for our other products as needed
    • Respond to user inquiries across phone, live chat, and email in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
    • Problem solve, troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and guide customers to solutions with patience and clarity
    • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate team when needed
    • Document user interactions and feedback to help us continuously improve our products and support experience
    • Help plan and facilitate workshops for our users, sharing tips and best practices for getting the most out of our products
    • Contribute to a team culture that values empathy, care, and genuine human connection over speed metrics alone

    Role Expectations

    • You will be part of a team consisting of three associates dedicated to providing excellent support in a timely and effective manner.
    • Associates are expected to attend all their assigned shifts, as determined by the manager
    • All associates are expected to complete all mandatory training before starting in the field.
    • Pay will range between CAD$23 and CAD$26 per hour. This role is not salaried as chosen candidates will be sub-contracted

    Requirements

    What We're Looking For

    • The ability to remain composed, compassionate, and focused on finding solutions, even when interacting with a frustrated user
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working with people with disabilities in an academic environment or willingness to learn
    • Comfort working across multiple channels (phone, chat, and email) throughout the day
    • Knowledge of accessibility legislation (i.e.AODA) or willingness to to learn
    • Fluency in English required; bilingual fluency (English/French) is a strong asset.
    • Based in the Greater Toronto Area preferred; candidates elsewhere in Ontario are welcome to apply
    • Candidates have to be eligible to work in Canada and be located in the country.
    • Comfortable working on Apple devices, all company-issued equipment runs on macOS and iOS. If you strongly prefer Windows or Android, this role may not be the best fit
    • Experience with Intercom is an asset
    • Required familiarity/fluency with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android, as well as ChromeOS, since our customers use all kinds of devices
    • What to Expect - Application Process
    • There will be two rounds of interviews
    • We appreciate all applicants who have chosen to apply, but only those chosen for interviews will be contacted. Thank you for your interest in this role!
    • We will be accepting applications for three individuals for this role.

Habitat Learn is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request throughout the recruitment process.

    Benefits

    Why Join Us

We're a company that believes support should feel human. You won't be measured purely on call times or ticket volume — you'll be trusted and supported to take the time each customer actually needs. If you care about people and want to work somewhere that backs that up with real investment in its support team, we'd love to hear from you.

    OULA HEALTH

    Product Manager

    Full-Time

    • New York, Chicago or Charlotte
    • Reports to VP, Central Operations

    About Oula

Oula Health is a venture-backed, midwifery-led maternity and GYN care company building the next generation of women's healthcare. We partner exclusively with major health systems — including Mount Sinai, Stamford Health, and Novant Health — to embed our collaborative OB-GYN and midwifery model directly inside their networks. We're a team of ~100 people at Series B stage, with 4 clinics today and three more opening in 2026.

    The Role

At Oula, our product doesn't sit alongside our EHR — it integrates directly into it. Every product and engineering decision has downstream consequences for how our EHRs are configured, and every EHR configuration decision shapes what's possible on the product side. Someone has to hold both at once.

We're looking for a technically-minded Product Manager to own and evolve our core technology stack — including our EHR, patient portal, and care management platform. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and health system integration, serving as the internal and external subject matter expert on our EMR and the primary lead for health system EHR integrations.

You'll manage the day-to-day health of our tech stack, partnering closely with both internal teams and external health system stakeholders to ensure our systems run smoothly and our integrations deliver. You can sit with a midwife and understand why a clinical template matters, then turn around and write a bug ticket that engineering can actually action, then build the SOP so the next market launch doesn't require you to be in the room. When things are ambiguous (and they often are), you'll lean in rather than wait for clarity.

    What You'll Own

    EHR Configuration & Clinical Systems

    • Own day-to-day management of our core tech stack: the EHR, patient portal, and care management platform
    • Own Athena and Epic configuration end to end: clinical templates, order sets, lab configurations, payer connectivity, and access management for clinical and ops staff
    • Lead EHR integration efforts as the internal and external subject matter expert — FHIR/HL7 data exchange, health system IT coordination and committed go-live timelines
    • Own and accelerate Epic integration timelines as we onboard additional health system partners
    • Maintain configuration integrity as new markets launch and care model workflows evolve
    • Partner with our IT team on infrastructure; own the clinical systems layer they don't touch

    Product Operations & Launch

    • Own bug intake and prioritization from Market Operations — standardize how Engineering receives, scopes, and resolves issues and communicates status back to the field
    • Build structured launch toolkits and training materials so clinic teams are prepared for new feature rollouts on day one
    • Coordinate end-to-end launches across Product, Engineering, and Operations
    • Identify where AI and automation can reduce manual administrative burden in product operations workflows

    Standards & Knowledge Management

    • Build and maintain the clinical systems SOP library so new market setup is repeatable — documented well enough that a new hire can execute without you in the room
    • Develop onboarding materials for clinic managers and clinical staff on EHR workflows and tooling
    • Drive feature parity efforts so patients and clinicians experience a consistent standard of care across markets

    Data & Reporting

    • Build and maintain dashboards tracking feature adoption, issue resolution, and rollout health across clinics
    • Develop quarterly reporting for Product, leadership, and health system partners on platform performance
    • Ensure data infrastructure is in place to measure the impact of every feature rollout

    What You Bring

    • 3+ years with product operations, technical program management, or PM-adjacent work — ideally at a growth-stage digital health or services company
    • Strong problem-solving instincts and genuine curiosity — you like figuring out how things work and making them work better
    • Ease with ambiguity and a bias toward action; this role requires you to create the playbook, not execute someone else's
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive aggressive timelines — ideally with client-facing or health system-facing experience
    • Ability to speak ‘multiple languages’ – comfort going deep on technical details while communicating clearly to non-technical audiences; you can write a bug ticket, an SOP, and a launch plan that people actually follow; hands-on EHR configuration and integration experience strongly preferred
    • Analytical enough to build a dashboard and identify a pattern, even if you're not a SQL expert

    What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you've audited our current Athena configuration, identified gaps, and have a remediation plan. You understand the bug triage process well enough to have improved it. You've met your counterparts at every health system partner and know what's coming for the next Epic integration.

At six months, new market launches have a repeatable systems and product checklist. Clinic teams know what to expect before a feature goes live. Bug resolution time is measurably faster and the field is no longer sending issues into a black hole.

At one year, the SOP library is comprehensive, clinical systems configuration is stable and documented, and you've successfully navigated at least one new health system EHR environment. The product team has a reliable partner and the ops team isn't dependent on any single person for systems knowledge.

    Compensation & Details

Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 depending on experience and location

    Equity: Options commensurate with level

Location: Preference for New York/New Jersey/Connecticut, Chicago or Charlotte Remote-flexible with periodic travel to clinic locations and health system partners

Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision; 401(k); generous PTO

Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Oula is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone's contributions are valued.

    Salary Range: $110,000 USD - $140,000 USD

Oula's Commitment as an Equal Opportunity Employer:

We want you to know: You can be a great candidate even if you don't fit everything we've described above. You can also have important skills we haven't thought of. If that's you, don't hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself (especially in your cover letter – this is where you can really state your case for *why you*). About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer who can elevate HighLevel's product experiences through exceptional craft, product vision, systems thinking and influence. You have spent 7+ years designing complex digital products, ideally including SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-heavy or similarly sophisticated product experiences, and are ready to shape product direction, design standards and team culture across one or more product pillars.

As a lead individual contributor, you will partner deeply with product and engineering leaders, mentor other designers and help teams define and improve strategically important product experiences across the HighLevel platform. You will connect customer needs, business goals, technical constraints and long-term product strategy to clear, useful and highly polished product design.

We expect candidates at this level to demonstrate an extraordinarily high bar for design craft and visual sophistication, and to raise that bar for the teams around them. You should care deeply about hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, interaction quality, usability, accessibility and the standards that make product experiences feel refined, trustworthy and coherent at scale. We want candidates who can ship truly world-class product design.

Experience using AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis or workflow acceleration is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

    What You Can Expect

    • Autonomy to shape design direction across one or more strategically important product pillars.

    • Meaningful influence with product, engineering and senior leadership on product quality, customer outcomes and roadmap direction.

    • The opportunity to raise the design bar across multiple teams through critique, standards, mentorship and systems thinking.

    • Partnership with ambitious product, engineering, data and design peers who value clarity, speed, craft and customer outcomes.

    • A craft-forward design culture where lead designers help strengthen design practice, improve team rituals and grow other designers.

    • A 100% remote environment where distributed collaboration is normal. Employees in all geographies are expected to be flexible and thoughtful about working hours so US- and India-based colleagues can collaborate effectively.

    What We Are Looking For

    • 7+ years of relevant product design experience, with 2+ years in a leadership, mentorship or design direction capacity; experience in SaaS, B2B, platform, workflow-heavy or other complex digital product environments is highly valuable.

    • An exceptionally strong portfolio that demonstrates systematic thinking, customer empathy, exceptional craft, measurable product impact and leadership beyond individual execution.

    • Proven experience leading data-informed product design across the full lifecycle, including research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy and usability testing.

    • Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with deep care for hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, motion, usability, accessibility and product quality.

    • Experience designing for AI-driven or intelligent interfaces, including collaboration with machine learning, data, automation or platform teams.

    • Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns and scalable product experience decisions.

    • Experience influencing design direction for high-impact product areas, systems, platforms or pillars, not only individual features or flows.

    • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work fluently with product managers, engineers, data partners, customer-facing teams, senior stakeholders and other designers.

    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas, lead critiques and workshops and persuade through rationale, evidence and craft.

    • Passion for improving team operations, design standards, processes, tools, documentation and better ways for teams to work.

    In This Role, You Will

    • Lead design strategy and execution for one or more product pillars from discovery through delivery.

    • Translate customer needs, business goals, product strategy and technical constraints into clear experience direction and design roadmaps.

    • Partner with product and engineering leaders to define product vision, prioritize opportunities and align teams around high-quality outcomes.

    • Influence leadership decisions through customer empathy, data synthesis, product judgment, storytelling and strong design rationale.

    • Drive design quality reviews and set standards for usability, accessibility, interaction quality, visual consistency and design system alignment.

    • Raise the quality of multiple teams by mentoring designers, improving critique, strengthening shared patterns and making standards easier to adopt.

    • Define and socialize metrics for design quality and impact, such as usability signals, accessibility compliance, task success, adoption, retention or customer satisfaction.

    • Lead complex discovery and design efforts through ambiguity by synthesizing inputs, framing decisions and helping teams move with clarity.

    How You Work

    • You raise the bar for craft, visual sophistication and product quality across the teams around you.

    • You move comfortably between product strategy, customer insight, systems thinking and hands-on design execution.

    • You balance speed, detail, scalability and quality without losing sight of the customer.

    • You build trust through warmth, candor, accountability and genuine respect for your teammates as people.

    • You enjoy leading collaboration across time zones and cultural contexts, including with US- and India-based teammates.

    • You communicate in ways that help distributed teams work with clarity, care, trust and momentum.

    • You advocate for accessibility, inclusion and ethical design.
