Checks packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipment, and compliance with Customs documentations required at destination. Provides necessary paperwork relating to the pick-up and delivery of packages, such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle conditions, Duties/Taxes invoices with neatness and accuracy. Ensures proper security of FedEx Express and customer property such as cash, packages, equipment, and hazardous materials. Ensures his/her own personal safety and security at all times by following FedEx Safety policies and procedures. Operates vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with specific country regulations and corporate policies. Strives for improved productivity through constructive suggestions for better methods, procedures, etc. Collects D/T invoices from delivered shipments that must be processed by Customs Authorities (when necessary). Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx Express material for shipping. Maintains neat and clean appearance of self and uniform and company assigned vehicle.
High School degree/Equivalent. Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations. Good driving record. Neat and clean cut appearance. Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player. Must be 21 years old or over. Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test. Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kgs) and to maneuver and single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68kgs) with appropriate equipment. Customer orientated with good organizational skills. Must be able to work variable shifts. Basic English skills preferred.

General Job Description
- Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents, while representing the company in a professional manner.
- Operates non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures.
- Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts.
- Seeks additional business from current customers, attempts to gain new business (passes leads to sales department), and informs sales department of significant changes in customer use/competitorâs actions.
- Answers customer questions on FedEx feature of service and keeps customers informed about the company and its services.
- Ensures that packages conform to FedEx features of service; that proper labeling in provided; and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate.
- Determines legality of packages including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments and separates packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures.
- Scans packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrates proficiency in features of service and equipment.
- Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
- Loads and unloads company vehicles.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintains neat and clean personal appearance to uphold companyâs public image.
- Ensures the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.
- May be required to perform other duties
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma
- Basic English skills preferred
- One (1) to two (2) years professional driving experience
- Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations (C1 and/or C2)
- Good driving record
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment or the weight limit required according to current local labor regulations.
