You should be comfortable operating across people, product and technology â setting a high engineering bar while keeping the team focused on delivering real customer and business outcomes.
What You'll Own
Lead and manage a team of engineers across frontend, backend and full stack development.
Own engineering delivery for major product areas, ensuring the team ships quickly without compromising reliability and technical quality.
Work closely with product, design, mobile, backend and AI teams to turn ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution.
Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure and customer-facing systems.
Set engineering standards around code quality, system design, testing, observability, security and production reliability.
Stay close to the technical work through architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging and critical engineering decisions.
Develop engineers through regular feedback, coaching, performance management and clear expectations.
Identify performance gaps early and take ownership of raising the team's engineering and execution bar.
Improve engineering processes, tooling and automation to help the team move faster and operate at scale.
Own production outcomes beyond release: monitor systems, resolve incidents, identify root causes and ensure problems do not repeat.
Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, speed, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping real production systems.
Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
Strong technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
Able to make sound architecture and technical trade-offs while balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
Strong track record of taking products or systems from idea through development, launch and production.
Comfortable reviewing technical designs, challenging engineering decisions and debugging complex production issues.
Strong people leadership with the ability to coach engineers, manage performance and build high-performing teams.
Strong product sense and ability to connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes.
Able to work fast with ambiguity, establish priorities and drive teams toward clear outcomes.
Strong ownership mentality â when something breaks or delivery slips, you take responsibility for getting it back on track.
This Role Is Not For
Managers who want to manage people without staying close to the technology.
Engineers who want the title of Engineering Manager but do not want accountability for team performance.
Leaders who need complete specifications before their team can start.
Managers who measure success by meetings, processes or tickets instead of shipped outcomes.
People who avoid difficult technical decisions, performance conversations or production issues.
Candidates who make vague leadership claims without being able to explain what they personally built, led, improved or scaled.
The Bar
We are looking for engineering leaders with real technology career highlights.
A strong highlight is not just managing a large team or working at a famous company. A strong highlight means you personally helped build, ship or scale a serious product, platform or engineering organisation and can clearly explain your contribution.
You should be able to demonstrate both sides of engineering leadership: technical depth and the ability to build a high-performing team that consistently delivers.
Location
This is a remote role. We hire globally and work across multiple countries and time zones.
Candidates should be comfortable working effectively in a distributed, fast-moving international team and collaborating with colleagues across different locations.
Language
English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
Interview Process
Our process is designed to move fast:
Online assessment or practical task
Technical / engineering leadership interview
CEO / final round
For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within 1 week from the start of the interview process. Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be prioritized.

As a member of the military, Infantry Soldiers are the Armyâs primary combat fighters and are responsible for closing with and destroying the enemy. They are the core members of the Combat Arms team, which includes Artillery and Armour Soldiers.
Infantry Soldiers are capable of operating anywhere in the world in any environment â Arctic tundra, mountains, jungle or desert â and in any combination of arms, including airmobile and amphibious operations. The primary duties of Infantry Soldiers are to:
- Expertly operate and maintain a wide range of weapons, including rifle, hand-grenades, light, medium and heavy machine-guns, and anti-tank weapons
- Use sophisticated equipment for field communications, navigation and night-vision surveillance
- Inspect and maintain weapon systems, vehicles, survival gear and personal defensive equipment
- Participate in airborne operations
- Operate with support elements such as fighter aircraft, tactical and artillery
- Engage in unarmed combat
- Employ camouflage and concealment, patrol, assault, defence, and escape-and-evasion tactics.
Infantry Soldiers normally work outdoors. Both in training and on operations they live and work in conditions that would resemble those in the field. Infantry Soldiers will be posted to a battalion in Canada, but there are employment opportunities across Canada and on deployed operations around the world.
If you chose a career in the Regular Force, upon completion of all required training, you will be assigned to your first base. While there is some flexibility with regards to postings (relocations), accommodations canât always be made, and therefore, you can likely expect to move at some point in your career. However, if you decide to join the Primary Reserve Force, you will do so through a specific Reserve unit. Outside of training, your chosen Reserve unit will be your workplace on a part time basis, and you will not be obligated to relocate to a different base. As part of the Primary Reserve Force, you typically work one night per week and some weekends as a minimum with possibilities of full-time employment.

Infantry Soldiers attend one of three Military Training Centres: The Royal Canadian Regiment in Meaford, Ontario; Princess Patriciaâs Canadian Light Infantry in Wainwright, Alberta; and the Royal 22 e Régiment in Valcartier, Quebec. The training takes 17 weeks and includes the following topics:
- Use and care of personal and section-level weapons, including rifles, machine guns and anti-tank weapons

This position is available for part-time employment with the Primary Reserve at certain locations across Canada. Reserve Force members usually serve part time at a Unit in their community, and may serve while going to school or working at a civilian job. They are paid during their training. They are not posted or required to do a military move. However, they can volunteer to move to another base. They may also volunteer for deployment on a military mission within or outside Canada.
Infantry Soldiers serve with the Canadian Army. They are the Armyâs primary combat fighters, are responsible for engaging the enemy and are the core members of the Combat Arms team, which includes Artillery and Armoured Soldiers. When they are employed on a part-time or casual full-time basis they usually serve at a Forces Infantry unit located within Canada.
Find a Recruiting Centre
Reserve Force members are trained to the same level as their Regular Force counterparts. They usually begin training with their home unit to ensure that they meet the required basic professional military standards. Following basic training, Infantry Soldiers attend one of three CAF training centres for 7 weeks of Infantry training.
Reserve Force members usually serve part-time with their home unit for scheduled evenings and weekends, although they may also serve in full-time positions at some units for fixed terms, depending on the type of work that they do. Resistance welding permanently joins two pieces of formed metal by a tightly controlled melting and forging process, using electrical current and pressure. Advantages are no smoke, no fumes, just a permanent bond. The most common images are car bodies progressing down in an assembly line when a robotic arm swings over and a quick flash of light occurs. That flash of light is the resistance welding process that occurs in milliseconds and is the cumulative result of millions of hours of technology over a century by the brightest engineering minds of the time.
Our Customers
The resistance welding technology is utilized by many of the automakers and their component manufacturers as the quickest, least expensive high volume joining process commercially available. We also sell our products to machine integrators, and manufacturers in other industries, including agricultural, HVAC, and home appliances. Dengensha America has over 500 regular customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
Working Together
Dengensha America provides a full line of service and products, starting from the weld lab testing to determine the best equipment for your applications to onsite troubleshooting on technical issues and spare parts support.
