Staff Software Engineer Backend

software python cto technical

About Us

Leona is on a mission to empower everyone to take the best care of themselves, their patients, and their loved ones. We have an ambitious goal: to transform the way the world interacts with healthcare. We strongly believe that where you live shouldn’t impact your access to high-quality care. For patients, it should feel empowering, and unintimidating, to proactively take care of yourself and your loved ones. For doctors, we want to enable you to focus on what matters most, delivering the best possible care, by providing better tooling, decreasing the administrative burden, and helping you to prioritize based on urgency and complexity while saving time and improving clinician quality of life.

We are reimagining how doctors provide care for their patients in an AI-first world. Our first product is a platform that streamlines Doctor-Patient communication via WhatsApp. Leona is designed to act as a doctor’s AI clinical assistant, automating and delegating non-urgent tasks, while allowing patients the convenience of reaching their doctors 24/7 via WhatsApp.

With bases in San Francisco and Mexico City, our diverse team brings together years of experience scaling tech companies like Rappi, Uber, Modern Fertility and Wonder throughout the US and Latin America. Leona is backed by top-tier investors such as General Catalyst, and Accel, as well as an incredible list of angel investors including the founders of Nubank, Rappi, Maven Clinic, and other successful technology companies.

If you are hungry to learn and build 0-1 at an early stage startup, while rolling up your sleeves to make some magic, this role might be the perfect fit for you!

Tech challenge

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help us shape and scale Leona. Leona is reimagining how the world interacts with care — starting with doctor-patient communication on WhatsApp. We are building an an AI-powered platform that automates clinical workflows to empower doctors to save time, reduce burnout, and deliver better, more personalized care at scale. Patients today expect round-the-clock access to personalized care, but doctors are stuck with outdated, fragmented tools; Leona bridges that gap with intelligent automation and seamless messaging. If you’re driven by tough engineering and user experience challenges, love wearing many hats, and thrive in taking products from 0 to 1, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of projects that are both technically complex and business-critical

  • Collaborate closely with design, operations, data science, and medical professionals to deliver impactful product experiences

  • Work side-by-side with our CTO to evolve our engineering strategy and improve how we build

  • Help shape technical direction and product decisions as a core member of a small, high-performing team

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, with a strong track record of building and scaling complex software systems (startup experience is a plus!)

  • Deep expertise in backend development using modern technologies (we use Python on the backend; clients are built in Flutter), and familiarity with managing production-scale infrastructure within AWS

  • Comfortable working across the stack and owning projects end-to-end — from idea to launch to scale

  • Strong understanding of modern AI technologies — you stay current with the tooling landscape and confidently apply AI/ML to real-world problems

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • A builder’s mindset and love for creating things that make a difference

We’d love to work with someone who:

  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments

  • Loves collaborating with talented cross-functional teammates

  • Is energized by the challenges and opportunities of early-stage startups

  • Is mission-driven and passionate about improving health outcomes

  • Is curious, resourceful, and always looking to innovate

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in health tech or building communication tools (messaging, collaboration, etc.)

  • Spanish fluency

saas technical support growth

All roles at JumpCloud® are Remote unless otherwise specified in the Job Description.

About JumpCloud®

JumpCloud® is the AI-powered unified IT management platform designed to secure the modern workforce. By consolidating identity, device, and access management, JumpCloud provides intelligent, secure IT that scales from human users to autonomous AI agents. We help organizations around the globe eliminate complexity and turn AI risk into an optimized advantage, ensuring the right people and agents have secure access to the right resources at all times.

JumpCloud is Intelligent, Secure IT.

About the Role

JumpCloud is looking for a VP of Global Customer Success & Support who functions like a scientist and leads like a world-class coach. We don’t just want an administrator; we need a deeply curious, data-obsessed leader to own the post-sale journey for our global technical support, professional services, and success teams.

The Core Mission

You will lead a global team of 100+ across the US, UK, Mexico, and India. Your mandate is to transform customer interactions into a rigorous, data-driven engine that eliminates churn and delivers an uncompromising standard of excellence. You will be expected to move the organization toward an AI-foundational approach, utilizing automation and machine learning to streamline operations and enhance team efficiency.

\n

Who You Are:
  • Deeply Curious: You are a "data explorer" who isn't satisfied with surface-level answers.. You dig in to understand the “why” behind a technical friction point or a churn trend until the logic is clear.  You’re in front of the customer with your teams, asking questions, gathering insights and identifying opportunities.

  • Scientifically Minded: You view the customer journey through a lens of granular data.  Your decisions are backed by health scores, capacity modeling, and usage patterns rather than "gut feel".

  • A Standard-Bearer & Coach: You hold yourself to a high bar and expect the same from your team. You believe that "good enough" is the enemy of world-class. You mentor your team to achieve excellence, blending high empathy with high accountability.

  • A Product Aficionado: You have a passion for the product's capabilities. You act as a bridge between the customer and Engineering/Product, translating complex pain points into an indispensable roadmap.

  • AI-Forward: You look for ways to augment human talent with technology. You prioritize building a foundation where AI handles the routine so your team can focus on the complex.

Key Responsibilities

Architect the Customer Engine for Trust-driven Strategic Revenue Growth

  • Refine the Customer Success, Global Technical Support, and Account Management team for scale.

  • Transition the department to an AI-first operational model, identifying opportunities to automate workflows, streamline ticket resolution, and personalize customer engagement at scale.

  • Refine operational frameworks (people, process, and tech) to ensure the organization scales efficiently without inflating headcount.

  • Customize our onboarding motion for every segment (SMG, Commercial & Enterprise), ensuring implementation is a technical "win" from day one with every single customer.

  • Lead our revenue-oriented expansion teams by focusing on customer trust and experience.

  • Enhance operational frameworks (people, process, and tech) to ensure the organization can handle massive growth across segments without losing service quality.

  • Define the responsibilities for AMs, TAMs, and CSMs to ensure the model is efficient and best for the customer.

Drive Data-Centered Retention

  • Own the end-to-end post-sale motion experience and Net Retention Rate (NRR), using predictive data & tools to identify and mitigate churn risks before they manifest.

  • Accountable for global NPS and CSAT metrics, treating these as scientific benchmarks for improvement.

  • Improve overall onboarding experience and long term retention

Product & Technical Advocacy

  • Act as the bridge between the Customer and Engineering/Product by implementing timely and nimble feedback loops that provide Product teams with critical customer insights.

  • Translate complex customer pain points into actionable feedback that drives a "sticky" and indispensable product roadmap.

High-Performance Leadership

  • Manage five direct reports and a 100+ person global footprint.

  • Present operational updates to the Executive Team and Board of Directors, defending strategies with clear metrics and logical depth.

Requirements:
  • Proven Scale: Significant experience leading both Technical Support, Account Management and Customer Success teams across SMB, Commercial and Enterprise segments in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

  • Global Expertise: Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones (specifically India, NAM, LATAM, and EMEA).

  • Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in using data to drive capacity planning, health scoring, and operational efficiency.

  • Data Excellence: History of strengthening data trails and building a comprehensive understanding of churn and CSAT indicators as well as refining individual KPIs for the entire global team and upleveling operational frameworks.

  • Ability to Travel: This role travels approx 30% of the time to customer sites as well as to leadership and team meetings.  Travel is both domestic and international.

Gross salary $4000 - 6000 Full time
Python C# Docker CI/CD

Vequity is building the world’s most robust, contextualized buyer intelligence network for investment banks, private equity firms, and strategic acquirers — a platform with over 2.1 million buyer profiles, each containing ~100 structured and inferred data fields. Our proprietary AI agents continuously enrich, infer, and structure buyer intelligence at scale.

We need a fullstack engineer who ships product features end-to-end, brings real fluency with AI development tooling, and will take ownership of deployment pipelines that currently lack a dedicated owner.

This is a two-sided role: half building features that users see, half making the engineering team faster and more reliable. If you’ve actually built with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools — not just experimented — and you can prove it with real output, we want to talk.

Apply at the original job on getonbrd.com.

What you’ll own

  • Fullstack product development. Build and ship features across the Angular frontend and C# / Python backend. Translate product requirements into production-ready code. Write clean, tested, maintainable code with solid PR practices.
  • AI-augmented development. Actively use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Aider) to accelerate your own development velocity. Improve team patterns and best practices for AI-assisted workflows. Evaluate and integrate new AI development tools as they emerge.
  • Deployment and operations. Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code. Build monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities. Manage cloud infrastructure (GCP) including cost optimization and scaling. Create and maintain runbooks for operational procedures.
  • Developer experience and tooling. Reduce friction in the development-to-deployment cycle. Improve local development environments, testing infrastructure, and developer workflows. Standardize build, lint, and test tooling across the codebase.
  • Cross-functional collaboration. Work across product, engineering, and sales operations teams. Bridge feature development and infrastructure reliability. Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.

What success looks like in year one

  • Shipping 2–3 features per sprint while maintaining code quality.
  • Continuous deployment implemented within your first month.
  • At least one improvement to the team’s AI-assisted workflow per week.
  • Deployment pipeline has a clear owner with documented runbooks and <15 minute rollback capability within 3 months.
  • Zero unplanned downtime from deployment issues within 6 months.
  • Your teammates are measurably faster because of the tooling and patterns you’ve introduced.

What we’re looking for

Core requirements

  • 4+ years fullstack development experience with Angular + Python or C# backends.
  • Demonstrated production use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) — must be able to show concrete examples of how these tools changed your workflow and output.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices: infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging, alerting.
  • Strong written English — this is a remote, async-heavy role with a US-based team.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup where priorities shift and ownership is expected.

Nice to have

  • Github Actions experience is a big plus
  • Experience owning deployment pipelines end-to-end in a startup environment.
  • Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Kubernetes or Cloud Run experience on GCP.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or data-intensive platforms.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and data-heavy applications.
  • Familiarity with the Python data tooling ecosystem (even if not a data engineer).
  • Contributions to open source or public examples of AI-augmented development work.

Compensation and benefits

We pay competitively for the LATAM market and we’re transparent about it.

JavaScript Python Git SQL

Ignitvio is a US-based AI marketing automation agency serving home service businesses (roofing, HVAC), professional services, and financial advisors. We build done-for-you systems that help clients respond to leads faster, recover database revenue, and scale customer acquisition without adding sales staff.

We're small, founder-led, and fully remote. We're hiring our first full-stack engineer to own technical delivery alongside the founder. You'll work directly with the founder daily, ship to production, and see your work drive client revenue within days.

Why this role is different:

- Modern stack with real autonomy: Python, Supabase, Twilio, VAPI, Claude API
- AI tooling is core to how we work. Claude Code and Cursor daily
- First engineering hire = first in line for technical leadership as we scale
- US market exposure with LATAM time zone. No graveyard shifts

Apply to this job without intermediaries on Get on Board.

Job functions

You will be the primary technical hand for client implementations and internal systems, working directly with the founder.

What you will build:

- Custom AI voice agents using VAPI (configuring, prompting, integrating with our backend)
- Twilio-based SMS automations including missed call text-back and follow-up sequences
- n8n workflows for client lead routing, CRM sync, and notification systems
- Python and Flask services that orchestrate Claude API calls, data enrichment, and webhook handling
- Supabase schemas and queries for client data and analytics
- Cold outreach automation infrastructure (email sequencing, list management, response tracking)
- Internal tools that support our sales process: mystery shop data analysis, prospect research, personalization at scale
- Deployment and monitoring on Railway with proper production setup (Gunicorn, logging, error handling)
- Own security best practices in production code: webhook signature validation (Twilio, VAPI), Supabase RLS policies, input validation, secrets management via environment variables, rate limiting, and PII handling discipline. Every PR ships with these as defaults, not afterthoughts.

You will ship to production, own your code end-to-end, and translate ambiguous client requests into working systems. We move fast. Scope is often unclear at the start, and we expect you to scope, build, and deploy with minimal supervision.

Success in this role is measured by: production reliability of what you ship, speed from client request to working system, and how independently you handle ambiguous problems.

Qualifications and requirements

Required:

- 4+ years professional full-stack development experience
- Strong Python (Flask, FastAPI, or similar) — this is our primary backend
- Strong API integration experience including webhooks, REST, handling rate limits, retries, and failure modes
- SQL and database design experience (Postgres preferred)
- JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js working knowledge
- Git and GitHub workflow fluency
- Comfortable shipping to production and owning code end-to-end
- Fluent English (written and spoken). You will be on daily standups and weekly client-adjacent calls with the founder
- Strong communicator who explains technical tradeoffs clearly
- Self-directed. Able to take an ambiguous business problem, scope it, and ship a working solution
- Strong secure coding fundamentals: webhook signature validation, parameterized queries (no raw SQL injection vectors), input validation via Pydantic or similar, secrets via environment variables (never committed to git), and basic awareness of common attack surfaces. You don't need to be a security specialist, but every PR you ship will be evaluated for security hygiene.
- Attention to detail in reading job descriptions. Application secret phrase: CODE-FORWARD. Include this exact phrase as your answer to the secret phrase question in the application form. Applications missing this phrase are deleted unread.

Time zone requirement: You must be based in Latin America (Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, or surrounding) with at least 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (minimum 9am-1pm EST).

Who we are NOT looking for:

- Developers who need detailed specs for every task
- WordPress or Shopify generalists looking to transition into engineering
- Agencies or freelancers who want to subcontract this out
- Anyone wanting fully async work or graveyard-shift hours

Hiring process:

1. Application review (this posting)
2. 30-minute screening video call with the founder
3. Paid take-home project (4-6 hours of work, $200 flat fee)
4. 60-minute technical review call where you walk through your solution
5. 2-week paid trial at full salary with real codebase access
6. Decision and full contract offer

How to apply: GetOnBoard's application form will guide you. Required items:

1. Link to your GitHub and 1-2 production projects you have shipped (live URLs preferred)
2. Resume or LinkedIn profile
3. A 60-90 second video introducing yourself in English. Upload to Loom or YouTube (unlisted) and paste the link in the application form. Tell us your name, where you are based, your current work situation, and why this role interests you. We need to clearly hear your spoken English — written-only applications cannot be evaluated for this role.
4. Answer to the secret phrase question (read the full posting carefully — the phrase is hidden in the requirements above)

We respond within 5 business days to applications that include all four items.

Desirable skills

Bonus points for experience with any of:

- Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI coding tools
- VAPI or other voice AI platform integration
- n8n, Make, or Zapier automation building
- Next.js and Vercel deployment
- Twilio API (SMS or voice)
- Marketing automation platforms (GoHighLevel, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign)
- Cold email infrastructure (Instantly, Smartlead, deliverability tooling)
- LLM prompt engineering and evaluation experience
- Production observability and monitoring tools
- Postgres Row Level Security (RLS) policy configuration
- Production error tracking and observability tools (Sentry, Datadog, or similar)
- PII handling experience and awareness of compliance frameworks (TCPA, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Familiarity with prompt injection mitigation and LLM security considerations
- Rate limiting strategies for cost-sensitive APIs (LLMs, voice/SMS providers)

We will train the right person on any of these. We are hiring for engineering instincts and ownership, not exact tool match.

Conditions

- $2,800-$3,500 USD/month based on experience and trial performance
- Paid monthly via Deel (preferred) or Wise
- 90-day performance review with potential salary increase
- Ongoing 6-month review cycles
- Project completion bonuses for major client deliveries
- Full-time exclusive engagement (not a moonlighting gig)
- Fully remote, work from anywhere in Latin America
- Flexible hours with required overlap during US morning (9am-1pm EST minimum)
- Direct work with the founder, no middle management
- Clear growth path to technical lead as we scale

Fully remote You can work from anywhere in the world.

Staff Software Engineer Backend
  • Leona Health
  • San Francisco
software python cto technical

This company only accepts applications on Get on Board.

  • Time off: Manage your own schedule. We trust you.
  • Health: $150/month health and wellness stipend.
  • Engagement: B2B contract. 30-day mutual notice.

How we work

  • Fully remote. We are based in Denver, Colorado (MT, UTC-7). You can work from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, or anywhere in the Americas with strong overlap.
  • Same time zone. We expect significant daily overlap with Central Standard Time (CT). LATAM time zones are ideal — this is a key reason we’re hiring in the region.
  • Async-first. We write things down. Docs, Loom videos, and thoughtful PR descriptions are the norm. Meetings happen when they’re the fastest path to clarity, not by default.
  • Small team, direct access. You will work directly with the Head of Engineering and the founder. No middle management. Your work ships fast.

Flexible hours Flexible schedule and freedom for attending family needs or personal errands.
Health coverage Vequity pays or copays health insurance for employees.
Computer provided Vequity provides a computer for your work.
