Senior Backend Engineer

senior backend engineer saas

About Akuity

With the move to the cloud, Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand and deploy their K8s deployments via GitOps.

Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.

The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds – if not thousands – of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for the enterprises.

Our mission is to simplify the software delivery process so that DevOps and Platform Engineering teams can move fast, and deploy code effortlessly without the fear of breaking things.

The Role

As one of the senior engineers at Akuity, you will work on actively building and continuously improving Akuity's SaaS platform for our global developer community. We're looking for developers who build tools with an empathic mindset and are comfortable cross collaborating with others. You know developers and how to build tools to solve their pain points. Beyond building developer-centric tools, you will mentor team members around engineering best practices, participate in product development, and help contribute to the company's culture. This is an exciting position for someone to impact developer tools and the developer ecosystem globally.

Data Analyst Assistant
  • Blue Oak Consulting
  • Roma, Roma, Lazio, Italia
design designer part time digital nomad
We are adding a Data Analyst Assistant to the team to support a large scale engagement with an established Italian infrastructure group. This position focuses on interrogating financial assumptions and identifying discrepancies in complex portfolios to ensure our partner makes decisions based on hard evidence rather than corporate narratives.

About Blue Oak Consulting
Blue Oak Consulting provides independent advisory on pricing, portfolio economics, capital allocation, and acquisition assumptions. We are not a traditional consulting firm focused on broad transformation programs or high level strategy decks. Instead, we interrogate specific commercial decisions where the financial stakes are high and the existing narrative is not sufficient. Our team looks past corporate language and P&L complexity to identify where value is leaking or capital is trapped. We work across sectors like software, manufacturing, and healthcare to test whether the assumptions behind a growth plan or an acquisition actually hold under pressure. We are a small, principal led firm where the people who do the work are the ones accountable for the results. We do not take transaction contingent fees, which allows us to be completely honest about whether the economics of a decision make sense. Our goal is to provide clarity through financial discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism.

The Role
This is a full time, permanent position that is conducted entirely in a remote environment. You will work closely with our principals to dig into the numbers provided by our partners, often starting with the Italian infrastructure project. The goal is to move past P&L complexity and find where value might be leaking. You will be expected to think critically and ask why certain numbers exist high up in a spreadsheet, rather than just accepting them as facts. This role offers an attractive and competitive compensation package for an entry level professional looking to gain deep experience in financial analysis.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Cleaning and organizing large datasets from various sources to build a clear financial picture.
  • Testing the logic behind pricing assumptions to see if they survive real world friction.
  • Helping build financial models that track capital allocation across different infrastructure assets.
  • Identifying outliers and anomalies in expenditure reports that do not align with the stated narrative.
  • Updating portfolio economics trackers to reflect new acquisition data.
  • Collaborating with the team through virtual channels to clarify findings and refine analysis.
  • Preparing clear summaries of data trends that highlight potential financial risks.
  • Verifying the accuracy of inputs used in growth forecasts for specific business units.
  • Assisting in the interrogation of acquisition assumptions for new investment opportunities.

What You Bring
  • A degree or background in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field with a heavy emphasis on data.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage complex formulas and large tables.
  • A skeptical mindset that enjoys finding inconsistencies in spreadsheets and reports.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote setting where communication is largely written and specific.
  • Ability to organize messy data into structured formats without losing important context.
  • Interest in how large businesses actually spend money and allocate internal capital.
  • Reliability and a willingness to learn how to scrutinize financial statements at a deep level.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing line items that seem out of place.

What We Offer
  • A fully remote work schedule that provides flexibility and removes the need for a daily commute.
  • Direct access to firm principals who provide mentorship and clear feedback on your work.
  • The opportunity to work on high stakes projects, such as our current work with the Italian infrastructure group.
  • A professional environment focused on logic and evidence rather than corporate politics.
  • Practical training in financial modeling and capital allocation analysis.
  • A permanent, stable role within a firm that values individual accountability and results.

At Blue Oak Consulting, we believe that clarity comes from discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism. We stay through the execution phase of our projects because we know that decisions looking sound in theory often face challenges once they meet reality. This role is a starting point for someone who wants to understand the mechanics of how value is created and protected in large organizations. We value the work over the performance, and we look for assistants who are eager to show how the numbers actually add up without relying on corporate jargon.

Job Overview

The Events Manager will own one of the highest-volume and most operationally complex programs in our events portfolio: a benefit fairs program of 200+ open enrollment events per year, delivered directly to our members. This role demands someone who leads with a customer service mindset- every detail, every touchpoint, and every stakeholder interaction reflects on the Lantern brand and our members’ experience.

Beyond the OE program, this role supports internal events as well as our annual client conference. The right person thrives in structured complexity- they build systems, follow through on every detail, and collaborate naturally across teams with competing priorities.

This role sits at the intersection of Client Success, Member Marketing, and Growth Marketing Events teams. If you’re someone who finds deep satisfaction in logistics done right, and understands that at this volume, the process IS the product then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of 200+ open enrollment benefit fairs annually, including logistics coordination, vendor management, staffing, and on-site support.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve scalable systems for the OE benefit fairs program- from swag shipments and ensuring events are fully staffed to post-event reporting and learnings capture.
  • Serve as the primary cross-functional partner across Client Success, Member Marketing, and Growth Marketing Events to ensure each benefit fair meets client expectations and delivers consistent, high-quality member experience.
  • Manage internal corporate events handling venue sourcing, room assignments, logistics, budget tracking, run-of-show, and vendor coordination.
  • Support execution of the annual client conference, contributing to logistics, attendee experience, and on-site coordination.
  • Maintain rigorous pre-event documentation and lead post-event debriefs to capture learnings, flag recurring issues, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Track and manage event-level budget allocations across the OE program, flagging variances and ensuring spend stays on plan.
  • Proactively manage event calendars, timelines, and internal project tracking in Monday.com, keeping all stakeholders aligned without requiring follow-up.
  • Develop creative activation ideas for our highest-priority client benefit fairs. These will be experiential moments, branded touchpoints, and on-site concepts that help Lantern stand out and elevate the member experience at our VIP clients.
  • Partner with design and marketing teams on event materials, signage, and member communications as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing high-volume or complex events programs, with demonstrated ability to run multiple event formats simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Proven experience planning and executing internal corporate events including venue sourcing, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a process-first mindset; you think in checklists, timelines, and contingency plans.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with the ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities across multiple internal teams.
  • Comfortably analyzing event performance data and translating results into actionable improvements.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, preferably Monday.com; familiarity with HubSpot and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, especially during peak OE season.

Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience in employer healthcare, employee benefits, or HR tech
  • Background building scalable multi-event programs from the ground up
  • Experience working directly with client success or account management teams in a B2B environment
  • Experience hiring 3rd party contracted staff to work events

Strong Candidates Will:

  • Bring ownership mentality to the OE benefits fair program, knowing the details cold, catching problems early, and closing loops without being asked.
  • Navigate cross-functional complexity with ease, building trust with Client Success, Member Marketing, and Growth Marketing stakeholders who all have a stake in program outcomes.
  • Build and refine systems that make 200+ events feel manageable- documentation, templates, ROI tracking, and processes that scale without losing quality.
  • Bring a creative eye to VIP activations, proposing ideas that leave an impression
  • Always maintain a customer service mindset, understanding that each benefit fair is a direct touchpoint with our members and a reflection of both Lantern and our clients’ brand.
  • Balance high-volume execution with strategic thinking, spotting patterns, proposing improvements, and escalating risks before they become problems.

Benefits:

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Short & Long Term Disability
  • Life Insurance
  • 401k with company match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Parental Leave

As an SRE at Pave Bank, you’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, Security and Operations teams to build robust infrastructure, automate operations, and maintain reliability across all services. Your work will directly impact the safety, performance, and scalability of our banking platform, helping our customers trust Pave Bank with their finances.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems and services.

  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC), deployment pipelines, and automation to support continuous delivery, scalability, and disaster recovery.

  • Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive postmortems to ensure lessons learned are applied.

  • Implement and enforce operational best practices: observability, logging, metrics, alerting, capacity planning, failover strategies, and backups.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure infrastructure meets reliability, compliance, and security standards.

  • Support service scaling, database operations, cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), networking, and microservices orchestration.

  • Document operational runbooks, on-call procedures, and system architecture to support maintenance, knowledge sharing, and compliance.

What You’ll Bring

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Strong programming or scripting skills (Go, Python, Bash, or similar) for automation, tooling, and operational tasks.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar).

  • Experience with either FluxCD or ArgoCD for GitOps-based delivery.

  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and reliability patterns.

  • Experience setting up monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, distributed tracing).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to respond to incidents under pressure.

  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies, database management, and secure operations.

Other Skills

  • Ownership mindset: proactive, responsible, and committed to system reliability.

  • Strong communication skills — able to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

  • High integrity, attention to detail, and passion for fintech and programmable banking systems.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in fintech, banking, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with compliance, security, and data protection best practices.

  • Experience with high-availability, high-throughput systems, or financial infrastructure.

  • Exposure to blockchain or crypto systems integrated with banking.

  • Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost and performance under rapid growth.

Why Pave Bank?

  • Work alongside a founding team from Monzo and BigPay, bringing top-tier fintech expertise.

  • Tackle real-world reliability challenges in a regulated, fast-growing fintech environment.

  • Learn from and collaborate with experienced engineers while developing your SRE career.

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity with room for growth.

  • Be part of a well-funded startup shaping the future of programmable banking.

About Phaidra Phaidra is building the future of industrial automation. The world today is filled with static, monolithic infrastructure. Factories, power plants, buildings, etc. operate the same they've operated for decades — because the controls programming is hard-coded. Thousands of lines of rules and heuristics that define how the machines interact with each other. The result of all this hard-coding is that facilities are frozen in time, unable to adapt to their environment while their performance slowly degrades. Phaidra creates AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling industrial facilities to automatically learn and improve over time. Specifically: We use reinforcement learning algorithms to provide this intelligence, converting raw sensor data into high-value actions and decisions. We focus on industrial applications, which tend to be well-sensorized with measurable KPIs — perfect for reinforcement learning. We enable domain experts (our users) to configure the AI control systems (i.e. agents) without writing code. They define what they want their AI agents to do, and we do it for them. Our team has a track record of applying AI to some of the toughest problems. From achieving superhuman performance with DeepMind's AlphaGo, to reducing the energy required to cool Google's Data Centers by 40%, we deeply understand AI and how to apply it in production for massive impact. Chief of Staff the CEO
  • Everyday Dose
  • Austin, Austin, Texas, United States
design music technical travel
The job in one line

You run the CEO's operating system: goals, cadence, and follow-through. You also personally own the projects that don't have a home yet.

Everyday Dose is moving fast in a lot of directions at once. The constraint isn't ideas or effort. It's making sure the right handful of things get set, tracked, and actually finished while everything else keeps running.

That's this job. It is not an executive assistant role and it is not a note-taking role. You'll own outcomes, run the meeting the leadership team is accountable to, and have a real seat.

What You'll Actually Do

Own goal setting. Run quarterly and annual planning end to end. Sit with each exec, turn intent into targets that are measurable and few. Hold the line when a goal is a paragraph instead of a number. Publish it so the whole company knows what we're playing for.

Manage against those goals. Goals decay the week after they're written unless someone owns them. You're that someone. You track progress, surface slippage early, and escalate the things that need the CEO before they become fires.

Run the weekly leadership meeting. Set the agenda, bring the numbers, drive to decisions. Every meeting ends with owners and dates, and you chase them down between meetings. You're not the scribe; you're the person who makes the hour worth everyone's time.

Keep the scoreboard honest. Build and maintain the company-level reporting leadership runs on, in partnership with finance and data. Numbers come from the warehouse, not from someone's recollection on a call. If two sources disagree, you're the one who reconciles them.

Run special projects. The high-stakes, cross-functional thing that has no owner: a new bet, a partnership, a channel or business we're deciding whether to enter, a problem that spans three teams and belongs to none of them. You get handed ambiguity and come back with an answer, a model, and a plan.

Be the CEO's second read. Pressure-test decisions before they're made. Prep board and investor materials. Write the memo when the thinking needs to be sharp. Say the thing nobody else in the room will say.

What Success Looks Like In 90 Days

  • Company goals for the quarter are written, owned, and measurable, and every leader can recite theirs without opening a doc
  • The weekly leadership meeting has a repeatable format, a live scoreboard, and decisions that stick
  • One company-level dashboard everyone trusts, sourced from the warehouse
  • Two special projects taken from ambiguous to finished without supervision
  • The CEO's time visibly reallocated toward the highest-leverage work in the business

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 8 to 12 years of experience, including time as a Chief of Staff, BizOps lead, Strategy & Operations lead, or equivalent to a founder/CEO or a senior exec
  • Top pedigree. Strong academic background and time at companies with a known high bar, plus a record of being promoted inside them. We look hard at both
  • Left brain. You're fluent in a spreadsheet and comfortable in a data environment. You can build a model, size an opportunity, read a cohort curve, and pull your own numbers rather than filing a ticket and waiting
  • Right brain. You write exceptionally well. Memos, board decks, exec comms. You can take a messy 90-minute discussion and turn it into one page that changes what people do
  • You've run an operating cadence (OKRs or equivalent, weekly business reviews, planning cycles) at a company doing real volume, not as a theory from a deck
  • Backbone. You will regularly tell senior, accomplished people that their goal isn't measurable or their project is late. You do it without drama and without flinching, and they respect you for it
  • Startup metabolism. High ambiguity, fast context switching, nothing beneath you. You'd rather own the outcome than protect the org chart
  • You use AI tooling daily to move faster on analysis, drafting, and research

Bonus

  • DTC, subscription, or CPG experience, especially a business with recurring revenue and real retention mechanics
  • Consulting, banking, or PE foundation plus real operating experience (we're not looking for one without the other)
  • You've built materials for and presented to a board or investors
  • SQL, or enough of it to be dangerous

What this role is not

  • Not an executive assistant. You are not managing a calendar or booking travel
  • Not a project manager who takes notes and updates a tracker
  • Not a strategy role that stops at the recommendation
  • Not a functional leadership role. You won't inherit a team on day one, though this role can grow into one

If you want a clear lane and a stable scope, this isn't it, and that's fine.

How To Apply

Skip the cover letter. Instead, send us:

  • One page on an operating cadence you built or ran. What existed before, what you changed, and what measurably improved as a result
  • A time you told an executive something they didn't want to hear. What you said, and what happened
  • Short answer: A subscription business is seeing retention slip. Five executives each have a confident, different theory as to why. You have two weeks. What do you look at first, how do you get to the actual answer, and how do you land it with a leadership team that's already made up its mind?

We read these carefully. Applications without them won't move forward.

Benefits

  • Strong base, performance bonus
  • Meaningful equity because we want you to own a piece of what you build
  • Health benefits + health stipend
  • Generous time off
  • Free product

Backend Developer
  • Nabu Casa
  • Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
design saas exec writer
About Nabu Casa

Nabu Casa, Inc was founded in 2018 by the founders of both Home Assistant, the open source home automation platform, and Home Assistant OS, the operating system that turns your device into a smart home hub powered by Home Assistant. These projects have seen an immense growth and have helped shape DIY home automation communities around the world.

After being involved in the Internet of Things industry for many years, we realized that there is a need for a cloud service that aims to put users, their privacy and their data first. Such a cloud can only be built as an extension to a platform that does the same: Home Assistant.

With Nabu Casa we are building this cloud service and we’re calling it Home Assistant Cloud.

We are a profitable company with no external investors. Our funding comes directly from users who subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud and purchase Home Assistant hardware, ensuring our only stakeholders are our employees and our users. We also support other open-source projects, including those focused on hardware, standards, and voice technology.

The role

Nabu Casa is looking for a full-time backend developer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team and work primarily on Home Assistant Cloud services.

As one of the most active open-source projects in the world, Home Assistant exists because of its community. To empower this community and allow more users to enjoy the harder-to-reach features of Home Assistant, we have created our subscription service, Home Assistant Cloud. This service gives the community access to features usually reserved for power users with expensive hardware at home. Current features such as remote access and text-to-speech / speech-to-text support are made available without ever compromising on privacy. We're looking for someone who will maintain the existing features and infrastructure and help us create valuable new features with efficiency and privacy in mind.

What You Are Going To Do

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and reliable backend applications
  • Participate in code reviews as part of our collaborative development process
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the cloud services
  • Implement security and data protection best practices in your work
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and share best practices with the team.

What You Need To Have

  • At least five years of professional experience in back-end development.
  • At least two years of professional experience in Node.js/Typescript
  • Basic knowledge of system administration
  • Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with Git & Github
  • Be based in Canada and able to cover Eastern → Pacific timezones (UTC-5 → UTC-8)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience in NestJS, Elixir, Terraform, Grafana or Python
  • Personal experience using Home Assistant
  • Knowledge in modern frontend app development
  • Affinity with open-source development and philosophy

What we offer

Nabu Casa is a fully remote organization that uses Remote to employ people from all over the world. You will be a normal salaried employee in your country.

This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Because we are a fully remote company, there is no fixed schedule. For the purpose of team communication, we do try to ensure at least 3 hours of overlap in the workday. You will report to our Cloud team’s engineering manager, based in France.

Core to the establishment of Nabu Casa was the well-being of the people building the future of the smart home. We will provide all the benefits required by the country you reside in. However, we also want to make sure all our employees, regardless of country of origin, get at least a minimal set of benefits, including:

  • Five weeks (twenty-five days) of paid time off.
  • Fourteen days of paid sick leave if your country/laws treat them as unpaid.
  • Six weeks of paid and six weeks of unpaid parental leave to be used in the first year after birth. We will provide the missing days if your country/laws do not provide such compensation.
  • A budget for your work hardware once you start. After three years, you may keep this equipment for personal use.
  • An annual smart home budget ensures you keep up-to-date with the latest smart homes offer.
  • A 50% contribution to your internet connection fee at your home workspace.
  • One day every two weeks to work on your personal projects.
  • If you are currently working on Home Assistant-related side projects, you can spend work time maintaining them.

When first offering a position to a new member, Nabu Casa aims to provide a total compensation package that matches the 75th percentile for the new hire's role, seniority, and local market rates. For this role, the approximate yearly compensation will be the following:

  • Canada 128.000 CAD.
  • US (TBD)

These figures may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and work hours.

About Us

Nabu Casa funds the development of Home Assistant and other projects at the Open Home Foundation, Nabu Casa is best known as the organization driving the development of Home Assistant, the world's largest free and open-source smart home platform. More than two million households benefit from its home automation capabilities. Powered by a worldwide community of open-source developers, GitHub ranked it the most active open-source project in the world in 2024.

We were initially founded to ensure that the development of Home Assistant would remain sustainable as it kept growing, but over time it has grown to support more open home initiatives. In 2024, the Open Home Foundation was formed to protect these open-source projects and ensure they thrive into the future. Nabu Casa is a commercial partner of the foundation, and our principles are aligned with a joint commitment to privacy, choice, and sustainability in the smart home. Senior Site Reliability Engineer AI Infrastructure

Senior Site Reliability Engineer - AI Infrastructure

Location: Global Remote / San Francisco · Full-Time

About Andromeda

Andromeda Cluster was founded by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross to give early-stage startups access to the kind of scaled AI infrastructure once reserved only for hyperscalers.

We began with a single managed cluster — but it filled almost instantly. Since then, we’ve been quietly building the systems, network, and orchestration layer that makes the world’s AI infrastructure more accessible.

Today, Andromeda works with leading AI labs, data centers, and cloud providers to deliver compute when and where it’s needed most. Our platform routes training and inference jobs across global supply, unlocking flexibility and efficiency in one of the fastest-growing markets on earth.

Our long-term vision is to build the liquidity layer for global AI compute — a marketplace that moves the infrastructure and workloads powering AGI not dissimilar to the flows of capital in the world’s financial markets.

We are expanding to new frontiers to find the brightest that work in AI infrastructure, research and engineering.

The Role

This is not a generalist SRE role.

You will design, operate, and debug large-scale GPU infrastructure used for distributed training and inference, working directly with customers pushing the limits of modern AI systems.

We’re looking for engineers who have personally run GPU clusters in production, understand the failure modes of distributed training, and can reason about performance from network fabric → kernel → framework.

What You’ll Own

  • GPU Cluster Architecture: Design and evolve multi-provider, multi-region GPU compute clusters optimized for large-scale training. Make topology-aware scheduling, networking, and storage decisions that directly impact training throughput and cost efficiency.

  • Customer Technical Partnership: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers running large-scale training workloads. Onboard, troubleshoot, and optimize, often in real time.

  • Reliability & Performance Engineering: Define SLOs and error budgets that account for the unique failure modes of GPU infrastructure (ECC errors, NVLink degradation, NCCL timeouts). Own capacity planning across heterogeneous GPU fleets optimized for training throughput.

  • Networking & Fabric Health: Ensure the health and performance of high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, RoCE, NVLink) that underpin distributed training. Diagnose and resolve fabric-level issues that degrade collective operations.

  • Observability: Build deep visibility into GPU utilization, memory pressure, interconnect throughput, training job performance, and hardware health. Go well beyond standard infrastructure metrics.

  • Automation & Tooling: Build production-grade automation for cluster provisioning, GPU health checks, job scheduling, self-healing, and firmware/driver lifecycle management.

  • Incident Leadership: Lead incident response for complex, multi-layer failures spanning hardware, networking, orchestration, and ML frameworks. Drive blameless postmortems and systemic fixes.

What We’re Looking For

  • GPU Systems Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience operating large-scale GPU clusters (NVIDIA A100/H100/B200 or equivalent). You understand GPU memory hierarchies, ECC behavior, thermal throttling, and hardware failure modes from direct experience not documentation.

  • High-Performance Networking: Production experience with InfiniBand, RoCE, or NVLink fabrics in the context of distributed training. You can diagnose why an all-reduce is slow, identify a degraded link in a fat-tree topology, and reason about congestion control at scale.

  • Distributed Training & ML Frameworks: Working knowledge of how large training jobs actually run — NCCL, CUDA, PyTorch distributed, DeepSpeed, Megatron, FSDP, or similar. You don't need to write the models, but you need to understand what's happening at the systems level when a 1,000-GPU training run stalls.

  • Linux & Systems Internals: Expert-level Linux knowledge: kernel tuning, driver management (NVIDIA drivers, CUDA toolkit), cgroup/namespace internals, performance profiling at the syscall and hardware level.

  • Kubernetes & Orchestration: Strong experience running Kubernetes in production with GPU workloads, including device plugins, topology-aware scheduling, multi-cluster federation, and custom operators. Experience with Slurm or other HPC schedulers is equally valued.

  • Automation & Software Engineering: Strong engineering skills in Python, Go, or Bash. You build production-grade tools and services, not just scripts. Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or equivalent).

  • Observability & Monitoring: Hands-on experience building monitoring and alerting for GPU infrastructure, not just Prometheus/Grafana basics, but GPU-specific telemetry (DCGM, nvidia-smi, fabric manager metrics) integrated into actionable dashboards.

  • Incident Management: Proven track record leading incident response for complex distributed systems where the failure could be in hardware, firmware, networking, drivers, orchestration, or application code and you need to narrow it down fast.

Strong Candidates May Have

  • Distributed Storage: Experience with high-performance parallel file systems (VAST, Weka, Lustre, GPFS) and the checkpoint I/O and data-loading bottlenecks that come with large training runs.

  • Training Optimization: Experience profiling and optimizing distributed training performance: identifying stragglers, tuning collective communication strategies, improving MFU (Model FLOPs Utilization), and reducing idle GPU time across large runs.

  • Cluster Buildout & Hardware: Experience involved in physical cluster design - rack layout, power/cooling constraints, network topology design, and hardware validation/burn-in at scale.

  • Team Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring a team of infrastructure engineers. We're growing and need people who raise the bar for everyone around them.

Why You’ll Love It Here

This is a high-impact, senior builder’s role. You’ll have significant ownership and autonomy to shape how our systems run at a foundational level, working directly with customers and providers while architecting the infrastructure backbone for reliable, scalable AI compute. You’ll influence technical direction and help define what world-class AI infrastructure operations look like.

Andromeda Cluster is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

  • Lead and manage systems implementation projects, from business requirements definition through user acceptance testing and deployment into production use
  • Manage internal and external development programs to implement system solutions in alignment with the business plan
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to architect robust data exchange (API/EDI) integrations between Wing’s data systems and external partners, inclusive of manufacturing execution systems, inventory management systems, warehouse management systems, and MRP systems
  • Provide high fidelity business requirements documents and technical specs that allow development teams to execute with zero ambiguity

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing supply chain systems. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and a proven ability to deliver efficient planning solutions in complex, global enterprise environments
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience building integrated systems throughout the entire life-cycle by designing and implementing Supply Chain systems, such as ERP, MRP, WMS, and TMS
  • Hands on experience with SAP S/4 HANA and customizing it for the business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective solutions. Proven ability to lead IT-focused projects within a supply chain setting
  • Deep understanding of materials management, logistics (forward and reverse), inventory management, procurement, finance principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience working in global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous environments and adapt to rapidly changing landscapes

The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Salary Range: $140,000 USD - $185,000 USD
